My fellow Americans.
I...I regret to inform everyone that... That there has been an outbreak. It seems what we thought was fictional, has became a reality. Our military forces are unable to help in this situation. We...We have reason to believe that Zombies are taking over America. Yes, Zombies. I'm afraid the only advice I have to offer is keep friends close, and survive.
May God bless us all during these times.

"Hey Mommmm...."
"What. Brody."
"Can I get this eyepatch? it looks really cool" Brody asked with a small smile on his face, pointing at what looked like a kid's pirate eyepatch. His mother groaned loudly and began walking away, "Put it in the cart. But don't ask me for anything else got it?" A small "yes!" escaped his lips as he grabbed it and ran over to his mom, putting it into the cart. Today was like any other normal day, though the grocery store was kinda empty considering the time and day it was. But hey, no long lines for them right? Brody and his family were just doing a regular shopping trip for some food and medicine since they had ran out at home and it was flu season. After getting what they needed and paying for it, they began to head towards the car, but Brody stopped in his tracks. He got this weird feeling that he couldn't describe. Just this sense that something bad would happen if he got into that car.
"BRODY! Get in the damn car!" His mother yelled at him, walking by to put the cart away. Shaking out of it, he headed to the backseat and sat next to his sister Mara, who looked a little bit ill, but she always looks like that so he didn't think anything of it (dumb bitch). During the car ride, everything seemed peaceful. Everyone was just doing their own thing, Him and Mara listening to music, his mother driving etc. It all seemed great, they passed a couple houses here and there but his mom wanted to take a shortcut, so she decided to take the highway near the woods. The tall trees blocked out the setting sun, everything was quiet. As Brody's mom was driving, she noticed something in the road, was it a deer? No, it couldn't be, it was standing on two legs. What could it be? Unfortunately, she got to close for comfort, and once she realized it was a limping person she instantly swerved as hard as she could, causing the car to flip over and roll into the woods. The car kept rolling, and rolling, until it hit a large tree and flipped back over to the normal side. The silence was back again, only this time it wasn't peaceful.
A large gasp came from Brody, as he sat up, pain instantaneously shooting through his eye and on his head, he couldn't really see but what he did see was his Mom laying on the wheel, blood dripping down from her head. He turned slowly to look at Mara and saw that she was laying back, but it looked like nothing was wrong with her. Getting a little bit closer, he moved her head towards him and saw that her neck was ripped open, and a bunch of glass shards from the window were impaled in her chest. Brody let go of her and quickly looked away, cringing at the sight of his dead sister. Sure he hated her, but no one can bare witnessing that. Quickly unbuckling, he kicked open the door and crawled out the best he could, but ended up falling onto the grass anyways. Standing up, he looked around and saw that they were deep into the woods, How far did the car fall off from the road? That didn't matter, What did matter was that he began to hear gurgling noise coming from his mom. He turned around and ran over to the driver's seat, "Mom? Mom! Are you okay?" He said frantically, moving away glass from her broken window.
All he heard was another gurgle, but his Mom slowly sat up and looked at him, and god was the sight awful. She had a large gash on her head, blood pouring out, her eyes a weird grayish purple with one of them dangling out of her socket. His disfigured mother reached out to him and he quickly backed up, nearly screaming but he fell back and fell right on his ass, "SHIT!" Scrambling to get up, he notices his sister now reaching out of the window as well, looking as disfigured as his mom. "HOLY SHIT! I need to get away from here!" Now wasn't the time for mourning, he knew what this was. I mean cmon he's seen the hit series, The Walking Dead. Running to the back of the car, he looks around and notices the bags are still in the trunk, but some were scattered around. His main priority was the eyepatch which he easily found in the first bag he looked in, he then grabbed a backpack that they bought and started filling it up with canned foods, a wrench (that they happened to need), some water bottles and the medicine that they bought.
