Coming to Terms with my Sexuality

A young little girl

So innocent is she

Believes the world is black and white

And will always be

Dreams of the perfect romance

Being swept off of her feet

Dancing with a handsome man

To the sound of sweet music's beat

But years and years pass

And then something changes

Right before her very eyes

Her outlook on love rearranges

A girl catches her eye

Can it be?

She's funny, she's cute

But that's not the way it should be

Right?

A whole new world awakens inside her heart

One filled with pride and joy

Who knew that one could grow to develop

Love for both girl and boy

And so she remains happy with how she feels

Because sexuality is not a choice

It's who you are, and that's quite okay

No one's perfect, so show your true voice
