Our Valentines 2021 Dangerous Love prompt is:
A careless confidence ran through my veins as I stepped again through the big doors in front of me. The room was filled with seduction, mystery and a dizzying sensation of déjà vu. I've been here before - Masquerade Ball - the most awaited event of the year, a ball thrown in the name of Saint Valentines. The same colour masks were worn every year, black for the gentlemen and white for the ladies.
But this time... this time was different. I noticed that for the first time since we both attend this charade, his gaze was upon mine. His mask was half black and half white, something that was never done before. No one knew who he was or how he managed to enter. Every year we started a game of guessing his identity, a little flirt there, some red lipstick and some glasses of champaign. Now it was different, his gaze on mine felt like a challenge, but for me was more than that, he was my saviour, the only person who could get me out of this mess. I needed to know his identity.
