" Hey kiddo ... how has college been treating ya ? "

For as long as you could remember Frank Castle had always been in your life . He was your dad's closest friend which explains why he was always at your house. Though it wasn't that long since you had thought of him differently. In a way it's undeniable to not understand he was kind, caring , mature, and god forbiddingly hot .

It wasn't till your junior year of college had you acted on your feeling towards him . Since you were back in town for summer break you stayed with your parents. Being the youngest of the three you figured to just be home for summer .

It wasn't too long till you had yourself splayed out on the chair besides the pool . While ur parents were barbecuing when you heard that voice your oh so familiar with .

" Hey kiddo ... how has college been treating ya ? "

Opening your eyes to meet the one and only frank castle . Who was now softly nudging at your legs on the lower part of the chair to move so he could sit . Which you gladly do so before he looked up again at you waiting for your response .

" it's been good I guess nothing too special just plain old studying and exams"

You softly sigh out the sound of it seeming lame since everyone told you college would be fun . His face scrunched a little the small creases by his eyes showed as he smiled a bit at your statement .

" hmm so what no parties; no boyfriend ?"

He lowly slipped out with a chuckle you thought that if you had taken a breath you would have missed it . Though you've known him your whole life there wasn't too much you knew about him . As far as you knew he served time in the army and he lost his family in a accident . Which was a rough topic for him according to your father .

" ha ... not too many parties just a few of the shitty boyfriends though"

He hummed in response now as his eyes swiftly panned over your mostly exposed body . Making you suddenly warm than he sighed somewhat loudly and patted your calf . As he stood up he glanced at you again shooting a smile your way

" oh yea also the food is done I came out to tell ya "

You quickly nod and grabbed your towel as you stood on the opposite side with only the chair to separate the two of you .

" I'll be there in a sec thanks"

He threw his hand up as he began walking to the house as if saying yea no problem . Yet you couldn't help but stare as he walked up to the patio joining your parents at the table .

You let out a soft sigh as you wrapped the towel around your waist making your way back to the house . As you made your way to the back door you heard your mother call to you .

" y/n come and eat ! "

" give me a sec ma I have to change "

As you put the towel into your hamper full of dirty clothes there was a soft knock on your door before it opened .

" hey sweetheart your mom wants you "

You continue to face the other way since you thought the voice was your father until you turned slightly seeing frank leaning against your door frame smiling at you . For some reason the embarrassment paralyzes you for a moment while he nudges him self straight and turns around and heads down the stairs .

" I'll just tell her you're almost done "

Suddenly you swallow the lump in your throat and put shorts and a t shirt on . Finally making your way down to the table , And long behold the absolute smirk splayed on franks face was godly .

You quickly sat down across from your parents with frank at your side . Not like your parents expected anything wrong with this . To be completely honest you seen nothing wrong with this either .

you simply had a small silly crush with no chance of feelings being reciprocated . Dinner ended a lot quicker than you'd like because of all the opportunities there was for you to stare at him as he talked .

Your parents rushed to tidy up as frank stated it was time for him to get going . Your father rather tiredly offered you up to walk his best friend out to his car ,As a show of courtesy . Which you silently enjoyed the thought but as you stood up and met franks stare .

Heat rushed into your cheeks as he lead the way to the door even holding the door for you . The small walk to his car being painfully dragged out in silence finally came to an end as he leaned on drivers door . His hand softly reached out to graze your cheek as he stared and smiled intently.

" God those boys don't deserve you , you know that ? "

He said as a question but to you it felt more like statement . Your breathing slowed as your eyes darted darted from his lips back to his eyes . He moved away just enough where it didn't feel like he was too close but far either .

" you looked good in that bathing suit you should wear it more often"

He softly said as he opened his truck door and got in .

"I'll see you tomorrow sweetheart"

He gave you one more smile and glance as he pulled out of your drive way and drove away .

Your heart started beating like thunder  at his words, your body felt hot and all of a sudden summer doesn't seem oh so terrible now .
