"So, we are just counting down the days till one of admits you're in love?" Chasity asked in potions class, a seemingly bored expression printed on her face.

"I'm not in love with him. I just think he's attractive," Maddie nodded.

"You're so in love with him," Chasity snickered, "You guys just need a tiny push, then bam. James and Maddie have sex every night to get out all those pent in emotions."

Roxanne quickly made a disgusted face, "No interfering with their love life, we've talked about it."

"Yeah, much of a love life it is," Chasity huffed.

"Thanks Cassie," Maddie rolled her eyes.

"Hey I've got a Maddie nick-name! Guys, I'm like one of her best friends now," Chasity smiled but Maddie just gave her a fake eye roll."

Chasity wasn't ready to let go the whole James and Maddie thing.

"If you aren't in love with him, hook up with another dude," Chasity challenged.

      "No," Maddie blurted out.

"Why not?" Chasity questioned with a cocky eyebrow raised.

"Because... I don't do hook ups?"

"You've never tried." Chasity argued back.

"I'm not sucking some random guys dick!" Maddie scowled, more worried about getting her virginity took by some stranger especially when she cared for James.

    "Fine, fine," Chasity dropped it.

"You know we are having a party, you could like ask her as a date," Fred suggested.

"That makes no sense Fred, we have been to a billion parties before, why in merlins beard would I just ask her as a date?"

"It's a big party! Like all houses and shit, everyone loves a Quidditch after party."

     "You're an idiot," James muttered.

Right around the corner, Maddie walked to find James as they always walked to class together, but she heard his voice and decided he was busy. She was about to turn back when she heard her names.

"-I don't like Maddie. I don't like her Fred. I wish everyone would stop telling me-,"

Before Maddie could hear more, she walked off, feeling as if her heart dropped to the soles of her feet.

"-what I already know! It's so fucking infuriating to be in love with her. I'm telling myself I don't like her so it'll hurt less. But I don't fucking like her. I love her."

"Calm down mate, it'll be alright, okay?" Fred tried to reassure James.

    "Hey Chasity?"

    "Yes Maddie?"

"Maybe it wouldn't be so bad hooking up."
