My attention was centred back to Dumbledore after I heard Fred and George yell. "THAT'S RUBBISH!" they both yelled at Dumbledore, expecting this to make a difference. I squeezed Fred's hand in an attempt to try and comfort him. I turned to face him and whispered in his ear.
"I'm glad you're not old enough to compete, people can die in this competition and even though I've only known you a few days, I couldn't bear to lose you".
Before I could say anything further Fred quickly turned his head and placed a soft, sweet kiss on my cheek. I could feel my cheeks heating up and I couldn't help but smile. We turned our attention back to Dumbledore who announced the start of the feast. In an instant all types of food appeared on the table, and I knew I wouldn't get used to this. I realised it would be hard for both me and Fred to eat dinner comfortably with me sitting on his lap.
"I'm gonna go find Pansy and Adrian, wanna come pick me up from my dorm and we can hang together?"
"nothing would make me happier" he smiled at the thought of getting to see her later.
With that I got up from his lap, placed a kiss on his cheek and made my way to the Slytherin table, with a spring in my step.
"Hey Ev, where've you been" Pansy smirked, trying to set me up.
"Fred and I came in during Dumbledore's speech and he dragged me to sit with him so we didn't interrupt" I explained plainly, leaving out the details of where I sat, the hand holding and cheek kissing. Pansy patted a spot on the bench in between her and Adrian and I sat, and proceeded to fill my plate with all sorts of food.

We all decided to hang out in the room of requirement later tonight. Actually Pansy decided, we didn't really have a choice.
As soon as I swallowed my last bite of chicken Pansy assigned people to what they need to get. Me and Adrian are responsible for music and food. Blaise and Pansy are responsible for drinks. Theo and Draco for something pansy wouldn't let me hear. We agreed to have everything ready for 11.
By the time we finished planning, there were only a few people left in the Hall. I couldn't see anyone I recognised, so decided to meet Adrian at 10 to get the food, to keep it fresh, and made my way to the dungeons. I waited an hour for Fred to come, but he didn't so I decided to go to the Gryffindor tower and hang with George.
"Back so soon are we?" she sneered as i reached the portrait. Not trying to cause trouble I nod. "you do know I can't just let you in, especially not a Slytherin". Her opinions of me seemed to change almost overnight, considering she let me this morning, even though that was an emergency. "Can you knock for me, I don't want to do any damage to your painting", "is that a threat?!?". I grimaced, I was being sincere but somehow my house effects things. "Oh no I was bei-
"HELP! SOMEONE ANYONE! HELP ME, I'M BEING THREATENED!" she yelled. My brain was telling me to run, even though I'd done nothing wrong I knew if a teacher or prefect saw me I'd get in trouble. I quickly turned on my heel ready to make my escape when the portrait swung open. "Ev? What's going on out here?" George. Thank god, if it was anyone else they wouldn't understand, but somehow I knew George would.
I turned around and flashed him a cheekily awkward smile. "come in, I'll try calm her down, Fred's in the common room, I'll join you after" I nodded and made my way in.
I walk over to the social area of the common room, where all the sofas and armchairs are, and find Fred sitting next to a brown haired girl. As I got closer I noticed they weren't just sitting, they were cuddling, and they weren't just talking, he was whispering in her ear and she was giggling. I felt a slight jolt of pain in my heart, though I have no clue why. At this point I was a few metres away from the sofa, and I don't know what came over me, but I decided to pull my skirt up a little, so the waistband was laying just underneath my chest, and the end reached just above my fingertips.
I walked forward, ignoring Fred and the girl I knew to be Angelina Johnston, in his year, and greeted the trio, Ginny and Neville who were sitting in a huddle of sorts. "Hey guys!". I got the collective hi's and hello's. it was at that moment that I decided that I can't rely on Fred and George to be my only Gryffindor friends, so I decided to put in more effort. I decided to hug them all, but when I got to Ron who was at the end of the huddle, sitting directly in front of Fred I remembered I had shortened my skirt, and that if he looked, he could probably see my black lacey knickers that I threw on after the commotion this morning.
I quickly snapped out of the hug with Ron, and sat on the coffee table in front of them. We talked for a few minutes before George came and sat beside me. "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to upset her" I say wincing at the memory. "It's okay, I explained that I don't think you could hurt a fly, and after some persuasion she calmed down". I blushed at the fact that he thought I was kind.
"Is this going to be a normal thing now?" Ron asked. "What do you mean?" "you hanging out with us in the common room?" I couldn't tell if he was being playful or was annoyed. "Well I hope so, you guys all seem really nice, and I mean I'm already friends with George" I heard a sort of cough/ grumble from behind me but didn't dare look, I knew it was because I didn't mention Fred but I couldn't.
We were talking about my life before I arrived, when the idea struck. "George can you wait outside the portrait for me, I need to run to the dungeons and don't want to upset the Fat Lady again" I quickly asked, there was a few hours before I needed to meet Adrian, but I needed to ask pansy something. "Sure" I let out a quick thank you as I flew out the portrait hole, making sure not to slam the portrait against the wall, and sprinted to the dungeons.
When I flew in through the opening in the wall I got a few concerned glances from the Slytherins who were in the common room, but I didn't spend any time hanging about. I made my way to pansy's room, knocking just in case, and made my way in.
"Pansy!" I said a bit too loudly while trying to capture my breath. "Evalynne!" she mimicked. "what is it, I'm meeting Blaise in a bit" "Can I invite some Gryffindor's to our small party tonight? Pleaseee" I plead with the best puppy dog eyes I can manage. "Fine just make sure they're not annoying" "Yes thank you, you're the best Pans honestly" without another word I'm racing back towards the Gryffindor tower.
