*in honor of jayme who showed me bravery*

Hi, my name is gallon Lou. And I'm about to tell you a story that destroyed me as a person, yet made me stronger. So, here it goes... kindergarten. It all started there. Kindergarten. I now despise that word because although people categorize it as a place where little kids make new friends and make art projects, for me, it wasn't like that at all. First day of kindergarten was pretty intense (it's crazy how I remember). I don't remember what I wore, but I'm sure I have a picture somewhere. All I remember is going down these creme and green colored stairs and walking into a small room. When I walk in I see a little boy crying hysterically and holding on to his mother with his arm. In front of me are these round tables. They are positioned weirdly and are not attractive. I sit my tiny, little bottom on the tiny, little chair and sit. That's all I remember which is odd because I don't remember saying goodbye to my mother. How brave I was. After a week of being in kindergarten, I met my best friend Patricia. Patricia was not your average best friend. In fact, I'm surprised we became best friends. She was so quiet and never really smiled which was so not like my personality. I was and still am very social. I mean, I can literally not know you and tell you my whole life story, which is ironic because I'm doing that right now. Anyway, Patricia was very weird and so was her family. For instance, whenever I went to her house her parents were always separate from each other. It was really odd. Her dad was an organic freak and he use to give us the most disgustingly foods you'll ever eat. Like, vegan pasta, avocado sandwiches, and zucchini dishes. Those were the worst. The zucchini would slush in your mouth. Ugh...I can still imagine eating it. Her mom, on the other hand, was soo irresponsible. My mom would literally say " drop her off at my house by 5:00 " and she would drop me off by like 9:00. I could tell my mom got really annoyed. Although I liked patricia, I still loved to explore and find other friends. Brittany and Samantha were awesome. They loved me and had the same personality as me. I remember my first play date with them. Unlike patricia's dad, samantha's mom was a junk freak. Her house was a gold mine. She had oreos, chips, cookies, and Caprisuns. I'll be honest, I was kind of jealous of what she had. Those girls were my best friends only for about 2 weeks. Kindergarten probably felt good to me. I just didn't know how life could change from fantasy to reality.
