Chapter 10

My breath hitched as I tried to absorb the information.

No.. Not them..

"Oh god that's what we need. A bunch of disgusting poor lame asses in our house. We already have one do we need two more" Liam said with an over exaggerated sigh while looking at me from the corner of his eyes

"Shut up "

"You fucking bitch. Why don't you just die and do us a favour" Josh yelled at me as the glass i dropped layed on the floor.

He back handed me and i fell to the floor.
A shard of glass made a cut at the scalp of my forehead which left a forever mark on my ugly face

I screamed but was shut again by a burning red sting on my cheeks.

My breathe heaved as I was unable to process anything anymore.

I was then not given water for a week . The six year old accepted the punishment as she didnt understand that she wasn't the one at fault

I am not needed here. My own family see me as a burden. What did I do to deserve this?

I ran to my room ignoring the shouting behind me.

I opened a book which was kept at the bedside. 'How to kill a Mockingbird' it read.

I read the book. No one disturbed me the whole day except for calls for food where I stayed silently or answering with short replies

At night I let the warmth of my bed  surround me.I let the darkness surround me.

I woke up around 7 am hearing the knock at my door.

"Come in"

Armani entered with a pout on his face. I mentally awed at his expression

"What's up " I asked softly

"Your step brothers are here " he said in a baby voice but emphasizing the step word

"T-they a-are? " I asked my voice quivering with fear.

I can't let it happen again. They would hurt me. My brothers would hate me if they heard what I have done.

I wanted a fresh start but my past is catching up to me.

I was brought out of my thoughts by Armani.

"What are you doing? "Armani said in a deadly voice which I don't think he was capable of saying

I looked up from my hands, scared to see what have I don't that made Armani angry.

But he wasn't looking at me. He had his back towards the door and seemed to be talking to someone.

"What? I am told this is my little sister's room. I have every right to be here. " I heard his voice which send shivers down my spine.

"Ahh here you are. I was just told that you had been a bad girl today. " He said sitting down on the edge of his bed while I knelt before him.

"I-i am s-sorr-ry m-master" I said quivering

He slapped me hard and spit on me.

"I didn't ask you that. Answer the fucking question"he bellowed above me

"I- I f-forgot to m-make  Josh's bed" I stumbled out

A  kick was landed on my face making me fall on the floor on my back.

Grabiel stood up and came to me. His eyes shining with nothing but evil.

"That's  Sir to you bitch" He put his foot on my neck blocking my air supply. I coughed violently and I could feel my body giving up

"You deserve this you whore. This is the start of what you will be getting tonight"

That was the last thing I heard before I passed out.

"You don't enter before knocking. Sister or not. And for your information she is your step sister. Remember that" Armani's voice bringing me back to reality

"Okay. Chill dude" I heard Josh say.

They both entered my room past Armani.

Both of them were wearing ragged jeans and dirty shirts. Their hair were devilishly kept.

They  examined the room as if trying to remember each and every detail before landing their gazes on me

My legs shook . I reached out the chair next to me to steady myself.

They both saw that and smirked.

"We missed you dear sister" Josh began

"Come here"Grabiel said coming  towards me and captured me in a hug.

I stiffened  and tried to stop the bile rising in my throat  as I smelt the  cheap  perfume .

" Call me if something happenes" Armani said from behind me eyeing dangerously the way Grabiel's arms were around me.

I don't think he trusted them enough.

He started to close the door while I mentally prayed for him to stay in the room.

Hearing the footsteps fade away I could feel Grabiel stiffen.

"Long time no seen bitch" I heard him whisper
