It only took Lauren minutes after the meeting to realize how she treated Camila. Getting frustrated with her, threatening her with a pocket knife, kicking her out of the car, and not caring in the world that she made tears shed from her lover's eyes. Not that she felt completely bad for it because Camila should know better than to be testing her patience especially when it came to important mafia business, but even she knows that her father would never do something like that to her mother.

Her father was brilliant when it came to understanding how to separate emotions. One moment he could be this stern, serious, and threatening mafia leader to all of sudden to the switch off and be loving, compassionate, and caring when it came to his wife. He was like that for Lauren when she was much younger too. It was a skill Lauren never bothered learning because she never even imagined herself finding a lover. Perhaps now, however, she'll have to make a consideration for the skill.

So in her best attempts (from what she's seen her father do when him and her mother were in an argument) she wanted to show that she was sorry and wanted to make things right. So she ordered her driver to pull over to a vendor who was looking to make quick money and she bought flowers. White roses to be exact. Lauren figured these would be good enough.

As the driver took Lauren back to the base to she took time to herself to compose her emotions to make herself realize that this was Camila she was confronting, not an enemy. Camila had expressed to Lauren during their late night conversations that Lauren had two sides of her.

Her green eyed side and her grey eyed side. Little to Lauren's knowledge, she never realized that her eyes flicker in color based on her emotions. She knew her eyes could radiate different colors based on how the lighting shines on them, but never did she imagine they also connected with her emotions.

Camila explained that was the best way that she could read Lauren. If Lauren had her piercing green eyes that warned Camila to just stay in the background and keep quiet and respectful. If Lauren had her soft grey eyes Camila knew she approach Lauren any way she wants and not be scolded for it.

It fascinated Lauren how quickly Camila was able to pick up on that. It was very intellectual of her lover. If it wasn't obvious, Lauren isn't big on showing emotions. Vulnerable emotions to clarify. She'll gladly show that she's pissed the fuck off or highly frustrated with anything. You'll never catch Lauren crying. Ever.

Finally arriving to the base, Lauren gathered her things. She ordered the driver to let her father know that she has arrived home and will be up in his office in a bit to discuss what went down in the meeting. She wanted to handle her princess first.

Lauren went up to her and Camila's shared room door and knocked on the steel door gently. She waited to see her gorgeous brown eyed girl open the door to greet her, but to no surprise she never came. So Lauren just went ahead and walked right in. She was met with the sight of Camila in fetal position, hugging her stomach on their bed. Camila only hugged her body like that when she felt scared or alone.

Lauren picked up on that behavior.

Lauren removed her combat boots she was wearing, putting them to the side, and carefully walked up towards the bed. Camila seemed sound asleep with tear stains running down her cheeks. Just for instance Lauren's whole body went soft and she felt her own heart break. Lauren quickly snapped out of that feeling and felt herself start to breath heavily while she placed her hand on her chest over her heart.

"What the fuck was that?!" Lauren thought.

Her breathing made Camila slowly flicker her eyes open. When Camila saw Lauren at the end of bed looking over at her, her eyes widened in fear and she immediately sat up.
