Chapter 8

Hayes opens the door and lets the door drop wide open and lets his jaw hit the floor (hah that rhymed and it didn't even try).
"Are you going to let invite us in some time tonight?" I say raising an eyebrow.
"Uh yeah sorry. You just look so amazing" Hayes says making me blush
"Come it." He opens the door wide enough for us to come in.

I admire the amazing two story house that looks so much bigger then how it looks from the out side.
I also noticed that when we walked in there was another guy going through the fridge and another going through the cupboard obviously looking for food.
"Who are they?" Paige asked Hayes, which made the two other boys turn to us.
" oh well this one is my brother Nash" he says pointing at the boy that looks near identical to hayes but older
"and this is Matthew Espinosa, nashs friend. He basicly lives here" he then points to the other guy.
Me and paige introduce our selves when I notice Matthew and Paige haven't left the sight of each other's eyes since Matthew and Nash turned around.
"Well I'm gonna go see if mum can take us. Oh and do you mind if matt comes. Nash doesn't want to but matt does. Is that ok? And paige can come too." He asks
"Yeah sure. I think matt and Paige are pretty keen with that." We all laugh except Paige. She blushes.

We arrive at the movies and we decide to see Dumb and Dumber 2. Matt asked if he and paige could get too separate seats.
"Sure I guess." Hayes says shrugging
"Do you mind if we do that?" Matt asks Paige smirking
"Yeah that's fine" she says trying to hold back her smile.

Hayes and I then Matt and Paige got there tickets and we walked to out cinema.
Matt and Paige were nearly 15 rows in front of us.
Just before the movie started Paige's turned to me and mouthed "HOLY SHIT. OMG" and turned back around. I just laughed at her.

The movie finished and all four of us walked out the cinema. I saw Hayes say something into Matts ear.
"Hey Paige, let's go to the games room." Matt says pulling Paige away. She just goes with him without hesitation.
'Oh shit. Oh no he's gonna ask me out or something. Fuck. Just stay calm Laney'
Before he could say anything I spoke up.
"So Hayes why the sudden change? You were a pure breed of ass hole 1 day ago and now your all like upper class gentlemen" I ask him confused
"Well let me start from the start. When I first ever met you at the park I knew I liked you. Then when I found out you went to my school I was the worlds happiest person-" he starts truthfully but I cut him off
"Then why were you so, I don't know, like being a dick?" By now I was so confused
"Well because that's just who I am. And I didn't want people to think of me being like a pussy. But gradually, when I found out you lived next door, that was when I could help my self. I had to have you as mine. And I know you think I'll probably just go out with you for the sex, but actually I'm a virgin. I've never done it and don't really plan on it. I know when I would talk to you I would talk sexually but I didn't know better. And yes I have gone out with several girls but that was because I didn't like being alone. And I know your different. I know you are. You won't just go out with me in a drop of a hat and that's how I know you will take a relationship seriously and I want to be in a relationship you." He says seeming 100% honest

I was speechless.

"I-I fell so bad now. I've always avoided you because I thought you were in it for the sex. Oh my god Hayes I'm so sorry. I guess that's just what I've heard around the school." By now I was crying.
"It's ok. I understand why you think that" he pulled me into a tight hug.
I have never been hugged by a guy before. I felt safe and protected. While hugging hayes I looked over to matt and paige and they were playing Air hockey.
"YES! I win again!!" Paige says doing a bit of a victory dance.
"Your competitive for a girl. I like that" Matt says to Paige and causes her to blush
"We should go." Paige says to matt in a quiet voice.

"You ready?" Hayes says nodding towards the door.
"Yeah" I responds pretty shy from the hug

We arrive home and Hayes and matt walk Paige and I to my house
"I had really fun tonight" matt says breaking the silence.
"Yeah me too" Paige says back while matt gives her a bit of a smirk.
By now I KNEW there was something between them with out a doubt.
"Well I'll see you tomorrow at school." Hayes waves bye.
"Yeah ok. Bye." I say unlocking my door.
Me and Paige walk inside to find a note on my table.
'To Laney
I've been called in a business meeting for a month.
I'm really sorry but tell Paige I hope she arrived safely
You weren't home so I assumed you were showing paige around or something
Anyway, I spoke to the people next door, The Griers, and Mrs Grier said she will check in you every now and then.

"YES!" I yelled
"What!?" Paige yelled back
"Guess who's home alone for a month" I say putting my hands in the air
"YASS!" Paige yells
"But Hayes mum will be checking on us every now and then." I say raising on side of my top lip.
"Oh well. Hey we should invite Hayes and Matt over." Paige says widening her eyes.
"I dint know I would but what if like Hayes like try's to make a move and I don't really want him to?" I ask a bit scared
"Well do you like him?" Paige asks
"Well I don't know. I've been having a thought run my mind constantly saying 'He's the one' and hayes did say that he is a virgan and he said he really did like him, but I'm not exactly sure if I should believe. I just think he will like me for a bit and then get bored or me then go to someone else" I start getting teary
"why don't we invite him over and that will be a little test" Paige convinced me
"Ok, but I don't have his number." I respond
"But you have a window that's like 5 meters away from his?" She gave me a bit of a devious look and runs up stair.
"Paige!" I tell but by the time I was up there she was already talking to them.
I could only hear paige and the last thing I heard was I'll see you in 10.
"Paige! Now I have to get dressed but not look over the top but not to sloppy" I say holding my head.
"That's what sweat pants, buns and sweat shirts are for my friend" she walks to my closet.
She pulled out a pair of blue sweat pants and a grey jumper for me and a pair of grey sweats and a black sweat shirt for herself.
"Now just out them on and you'll be fine" she says and as I go to say something back I was interrupted by the door bell.
"Paige I feel." I say pulling her arm
"Trust me if any. Thing does to serious or intense or to seductive I'll ask them to leave if you want." We both just laugh.

Paige opened the door and my gut dropped.
