Chapter 9

I opened the door to find Hayes starting there with a bunch of red roses in his hand.
"Um hey guys. Come in." I say to Hayes and matt confused about about the roses.
"Thanks." Matt says walking straight through the door.

We sat down on the lounge and it was a bit awkward.
"I need to pee." Matt says guessing his way to the bathroom and eventually finds.
"I think I'm hungry." Paige got up and walked to the kitchen knowing that Hayes wanted to say somthing to me.
"Look Laney. I'm so sorry for everything and I don't think you believe me and I don't know how to make you believe me but for the it is being. Will you be my girlfriend?" Hayes says standing up giving me the roses.
"I don't know. How do I know your not just using me?" I say but take the flowers.
"Look I promise, if I stuff up I will never talk to you or bug you again. And I can't live without having you in my life." He says starting to take my hand.
"I don't know. I guess so. But I swear Hayes if you hurt me I will never trust you again." I hold both of his hands
"Ok I promise." He presses his lips softly on mine.
I hear Paige come out from the kitchen.
"Maybe I'm still hungry" paige says turning back into the kitchen.
"Omg. I've never been kissed before. That's really sad." I say a bit embarrassed
"Did you enjoy it though." He asks me a bit worried.
"More than definitely." I smiled at him.
I saw matt walk into the kitchen.
"Let's go listen to what their saying." I say to Hayes
"Your so devious." He says smirking
"Only 13 remember " I say walking around.
We look around the corner and hear what they are saying.
"I know I've only known you like two days or something, but I really like you and I was wondering if you would go out with me." He says taking her wrists.
"Ow!" She says pulling away from him.
"Paige why would you do this to your self?" He says looking at the cuts on her wrist
She just starts crying and runs up to my bedroom.
"Um maybe youse should leave. I call you through he window when I have talked to her."
"Ok. I left my number on the kitchen table." Hayes says kissing my cheek.
"I'm so sorry. Please tell her I'm sorry. I fucked it up." Matt says crying.
"Matt. It's fine. You didn't know. Neither did I until now." I say getting teary.
"Well I'll see you tomorrow." Hayes says walking matt out side.
Omg, so today has been good and bad. I got asked out then found out my best friend cuts. Why wouldn't she tell me?

I walk up to the room and knock on the door softly
"Paige?" I say softly
"Yeah?" She says through sobs
"Why?" I ask her concerned
"Well my mum was stressed when her and dad broke up and started drinking. Then she started amusing me so I ran away. I called your dad and asked if I could stay with you for a while and he said sure. And yeah that's why I cut." She started to cry harder and I pulled her I to a hug.
"Matt feels really bad." I say trying to comfort her.
"Omg, Matt. I have to go talk to him." She walks over to my window.
"Hayes?" She calls out.
"Yeah? Are you ok?" She calls back
"Could you send matt over please?" She says wiping away tears
"Yeah I'll get him to come over."
Within seconds there was a knock on my door.
"That's probably matt" paige says walking down stairs.
She opens the door to a Matt standing there with red puffy eyes.
"I'm so sorry Paige. I didn't know."
"Why are you crying you goof."
"Because I hate seeing such a beautiful girl hurt her self like this."
"It's ok. I've been clean for 3 weeks."
"Good. Please don't do it again."
"I promise and yes."
"Yes what?" Matt says confused
"Yes I'll go out with you"
"That's the best thing I've heard all day."
They hug each other and stay there for at least 3 minutes.
"Well I'll see you at school tomorrow." Paige says breaking the hug.
"Ok. Bye babe" and with that Matt walks away.
Paige closes the door and slides down the door.
"Fuck I love him." She says staring at the roof.
"Does it bother you at all that he's 17 and your 13?" I ask Paige
"Well I guess as long as we love each other we don't really care what other people think" she shrugs
"That's good. Do you want to get to bed. It is 11:00pm" I laugh.
"Yeah let's go" paige says walking up the stairs

We get into bed and turn off the lights.
"Good night beautiful." I hear Hayes call out
"Good night creeper" I laugh
