A Simple Promise to the Moon

She made a promise to the moon once. I promise she had made with a boy she used to like. Their promise was simple. She left to be 859 miles away from him. She was the girl he went to for advice and he was the same for her. They knew a lot about each other and she knew she would know not a single person at her new school. He was the only friend she had to help her through the move. But this story is not about her and it's not about him, it's about the simple promise they made to a full moon. Their promise was this: when they ever felt alone, they would remember to look at the night sky and find the moon and know that someone else is looking at the same one. However, promises break and your left to hold what's left of that promise close to your word. That same girl is going to like someone again, but that's a promise for a different story. I leave you with this; Be careful with the promises you make, agree to and the people you make them with, for you will remember but they may forget.
