jacks pov

i was in the living room with the boys waiting for lanie, she should be here by now

"zach come here" i said

"i thought lanie was coming over" zach said

"yeah she is. i'm starting to get worried, should i call her?"

"no she might be driving don't disturb her" he says

jack sat on his phone for about 20 more minutes until his phone started ringing, he assumed it was lanie but it said 'unknown' he answered it and heard a really worried and panicked marissa on the other side

"jack, lanie got in a car crash come to the hospital" she said breathing heavily

he got up as fast as he could grabbed his keys and yelled for zach to come. they both rushed outside, zach still very confused. they got in the car and started driving

"jack why are you going so fast" he asked

"lanie got in an accident and is in the hospital"

jack drove as fast as he could to the hospital. once he got there he ran inside to the front desk

"what room is lanie simpson in"

"are you family or closely related" jack thought for a minute before saying

"i'm her boyfriend"

"her room is 129" after he heard that he ran to the elevator. even though zach didn't like them he still went in it. they had to see lanie

"so boyfriend huh" zach said smirking

"that was the only way she'd let us in, i had to"

"do you like her?"

"i'm not sure. but i think i do" jack says starting to smile. the elevator stopped and they ran to her room. marissa was in there sitting in the chair and immediately stood up

"is she okay, what happened" jack asks worriedly

"well she was at a light and it changed to green so she started going and then another car ran a red light and slammed into the side of her car, she was on the way to your guys house" marissa explained

"so that's why she never showed up, thank you for calling me, will she be okay"

"the doctor said minor injuries, possibly a concussion from hitting the side of the car. not too bad could have been worse" as she said that jack walked over to the side of the bed and grabbed her hand and stared rubbing the back of it with his thumb

he smiled at the thought of her being okay

"sorry guys but visiting hours are over" a nurse came in and said

"can we at least stay in here till she wakes up. please" jack pleaded

"no i'm sorry only her sister can"

"call me if she wakes up" he says to marissa. he gets up and kisses lanie forehead then him and zach walk out of the hospital hoping they get a call that she woke up soon
