The Legacy of a Lifetime

So let's start with my fist longer story in quite a while^^

As you can see from the cover  it's a Yu-Gi-Oh GX story. It was actually the first story to come to my mind when I started rewatching the Anime. But that was like 8 months ago or so 😅

Anyway, here is the description I have so far:

On Jaden's journey he and Yubel run into the ruins of an old Kingdom. However both have the feeling that this is not the first time that they were here.

The forgotten memories of his past life might reveal more than Jaden could have ever thought.

A surprising romance, a shocking betrayal and the final treason that lead to the corruption of the Supreme King.

I have to say that I was never good at descriptions, but I just don't know how to improve it without being to spoilery yet still sounding intriguing enough to read...

Well anyway, this is a Fianceshipping fic (meaning Judai/Jaden x Asuka/Alexis) with slight Judai x Yubel elements, but it is more a deep friendship.

I remember how long it took my to decide on a Title. I wrote down:

- Legacy of a Lifetime

-Legacy of the Past

-What the Past reveals

-A Loves Legacy

So, yeah. I really liked the word "Legacy". The fun thing was that none of these Titles really sparked with me, but one day I was like "I know! Legacy of a Lifetime!" When I looked back at my notes I noticed that it was the first idea I had for an Title 😅😂

I'm not sure how long the story will be exactly. I do have the main plot complete however and if you don't want to get spoiled on it yet then I recommend to not read any further ^^

Spoiler Alert!

The story starts with Jaden's journey and he discovers this kingdom that seems to be abandoned. On further investigation they learn the story of this place, whis also reveals why it is so familiar.

This was the kingdom his previous live, Judai (Haou) lived in. Born as prince and the prophesied child to host the Gentle Darkness. The main story will take place in the past and tell about Judai's live.

As pretty cliche for a story with a prince, Judai has to find someone to marry, even if he doesn't want to. So he is set into an engagement with a noble lady from another kingdom called Asuka. She's also against this engagement. Thankfully the King is pretty understandable and instead wants them to get to know each other first. If they still disagree than they wouldn't have to get married.

However, after a bumpy start Asuka and Judai get closer and fall in love after some time passes. Little adventures are held, secrets exchanged and eventually some feelings?

Well, that's as much of a sneak peek as I will give you, unless you ask for more  😏

So back to my actual notes. As you may have noticed the present characters are called by their English names and the past Characters by their Japanese names. At first I planned to only use the Japanese ones and make up new ones for the past. However I realised that this might get confusing. Especially because the main story is set in the past. So I scrapped that idea, but I still have a name list. So, here you go for what I would have called them:

Yuki Judai = Hao (without 'u' it means "good, perfect") Kurkai

Tenjoin Asuka = Amelia ("Work") Tyson

Tenjoin Fubuki = Feleti ("Name from Tonga") Tyson

Saotome Rei = Rubi Koinodo

Kenzan Tyranno = Tycho ("Thunder") Killian ("War")

King (Judai's father) = Aram ("Royal Highness") Kurkai

The only name that's probably going to stick is King Aram. Afterall, he doesn't have a name in the Anime. The other names I chose because of different reasons. I tried to give them all names that sound or seem similar to their actual name, while still trying to also get a similar meaning. That however is not so easy. I couldn't find a name similar to Asukas that kind of meant "Tomorrow's fragrance". So I mostly went with just the sound 😅

Anyway, there are some things that are probably going in the story. The Kingdoms all have names after all. And there is a specific reason for the names:

Judai's Empire: Kurkai (the short version of "Kurai sekai" which means "Dark World")

Asuka's home Country: Koryba (the mixed version of "Kōri no ryū" and "Saibā" which mean "Ice Dragon" and "Cyber")

The third Domain: Koinodo (the short version of "Koi no meido" which means "Maid in Love")

The meanings and stuff could be wrong, this is translated with Google after all. There might be more Characters or Kingdoms to come. Let's see. I also designed logos for each of the tree Nations, but they don't have any color yet:

And for last I have a list with different moments/scenes to make some world and relationship building. They are not in order and might not even get in the story:

-A formal ball (Rei entrance, Kurkai founding celebration?)

-Underground Tunnel/Catacombs (Story and Prophecy about The Gentle Darkness and The Light of Destruction)

-Fubuki being against Judai until knowing he is different from other guys

-Rei wanting Judai as husband (Her father does everything for her)

-Conflict/Fight between Judai and Yubel (Asuka helps them make up again)

-Talk between Yubel and Asuka (Yubel excepting that she is the right one for Judai)

-Asuka and Judai spending time together (going horse riding (To Lake? Field? Both?), going swimming?, stuck somewhere because of thunderstorm)

That's all the notes I have, but I have some more ideas. However I don't wanna spoil the climax or the ending XD
