As I was walking down the street, I heard some screams from an alley in the corner. I rushed over to see 3 boys beating up someone on the ground.
I looked over and found a boy about the same age as me trying to fight back. Before I could say anything one of the 3 boys walked up to me, "What are you doing here", The boy said walking over to me. I started walking back away from him. Then he grabbed my hand, before he could say another word, I kicked his stomach and punched his nose.
I felt my stomach drop as I did that, cause his blood was all over my hand. but nevertheless, I need to help the boy on the floor. I ran over to the other two boys and hit them on their stomach. "OUCH' The two boys scream at the same time holding their stomach between their legs.
I helped the boy on the ground stand up. "Thank you-" he said to me, but before he could finish his sentence, I stopped him from talking. "We need to leave this area before they wake up" I say pointing at the 3 boys laying on the floor. He nods his head, and I grabbed his hand running to a different area far from the alley.
"Ok, this is far away from where they are" I say trying to catch my breath.
"Thank you for saving me" he says with a tint of pink on his checks
'You're welcome" I said smiling at him
"Are you hurt "I say touching the boys swollen cheeks.
"Not really just a few scratches" the boy says
We stared at each other for a few seconds in silent. It was weird, so I broke the silence
"What's your name" I say putting my hand on my hair
"My name is Eren, what's your name" He asks me
"My name is Y/N" I say looking at him
"How old are you" I asked him wondering if he could be the same age as me.
"Well, I am 9 years old" Eren says smiling brightly
"𝐻𝑒 ℎ𝑎𝑠 𝑎𝑛 𝑎𝑑𝑜𝑟𝑎𝑏𝑙𝑒 𝑠𝑚𝑖𝑙𝑒" I said thinking
"𝐻𝑒 𝑖𝑠 𝑎𝑙𝑠𝑜 𝑡ℎ𝑒 𝑠𝑎𝑚𝑒 𝑎𝑔𝑒 𝑎𝑠 𝑚𝑒" I thought excitedly
"𝐹𝑜𝑟 𝑛𝑜𝑤 𝑐𝑎𝑢𝑠𝑒 𝑚𝑦 𝑏𝑖𝑟𝑡ℎ𝑑𝑎𝑦 𝑖𝑠 𝑖𝑛 2 𝑑𝑎𝑦𝑠"
"𝑖 𝑠ℎ𝑜𝑢𝑙𝑑 𝑡𝑒𝑙𝑙 ℎ𝑖𝑚" I thought to myself
"I'm the same age" I say enthusiastically
"Really" the boy said looking at me
"Yes" I said looking at his face
"but I turn 10 in 2 days, so I guess I am a year older than you" I said looking at the sky
"Wow cool" he said with a bright smile
"In two days right so March 10th"
"Yep" I told him while looking at my hands
"Well- before he could finish his sentences the bell rang 3 times as a sign that it was almost 5pm
"Oh, its that's late" I say in a low tone
"I was going to say if you wanted to play with me" Eren said looking at his feet
"I have to return back to my house" I say in a very low tone
"Oh, well would I see you again" Eren said holding my hands
"We can meet tomorrow" I said brightly
"We can meet at... the fountain over there"-I say pointing at the fountain where the soldiers were.
"Ok see you there at the 2nd ring of the bell" Eren says with excitement
"Can I bring 2 of my friends with me Y/N" he said to me
"Sure, Eren the more the merrier" I said beaming with a smile
"OK I have to go now" I say getting up from the ground"
"Bye Y/N see you tomorrow" he says waving at me
"Bye Eren" I say walking away

"I can't wait to see Eren tomorrow" I say out loud while walking down the street
