"Hey Kir!"
"What's up, Luna?!" Kirishima saw me walking towards him and stood up from the bench he was sitting on, his normally spiked up hair was down today.
"Nothing much, how about you?" I gave him a hug before sitting down, Kenzie sniffed Kirishima before sitting at my side, she was on duty today, so Kirishima ignored her.
"Just working my ass off, as usual." Kirishima let out a laugh as I sat sidewards to let my wings go over the edge of the seat.
"Do you work today?"
"No, it's my day off- oh Labrador over there." Kirishima gestured to someone that was walking a Labrador with a red leash.
"Oh, you don't see those often." I shifted a bit in my seat, and Kenzie pressed her muzzle into my hand. "I'm alright girl, just getting comfortable."
"How is everything with Todoroki?" Kirishima tried to sound non-chalant, but he didn't make eye contact and started pressing his fingers together."Well, I'll be having dinner with him tomorrow, but so far nothing has changed." I tried for a smile, but Kirishima still wouldn't look at me. "How about you? Have you found that special person yet?" I tapped his leg with my foot, making him look at me with a tired smile painted onto his face.
"No... Not yet. One of the difficult parts of being a hero is when you have a public relationship. Not only because of the media, but because you can't always protect that person... And if something happens while you're not there for them..." Kirishima went quiet as he looked back down at his legs and curled his hand into a fist.
"I understand that; it sounds like a lot."
"How has your job been?"
"Good! It's also my day off, so I get to spend it looking at dogs with you." I tried for another smile, but Kirishima still wasn't looking at me. "Okay, something's bothering you." I sat up and put my hand unto his unclenched one, making him flinch. "What's wrong?"
Kirishima looked at me for a minute, he seemed like there was something he wanted to say but either couldn't find the words; or was too scared to let them leave his mouth.
"I... Luna I..." Kirishima swayed for a minute before clearing his throat and leaning back a bit, "I'm just tired is all, it's been a long week." Kirishima gave me a smile before continuing, "Izuku has revealed himself to be the leader of the LOV, and he did it by murdering Shigaraki... He's dangerous now, so we've been working had to find him." I pursed my lips and thought about a few days ago, when I woke up in the LOV base, I didn't know where it was, and I wasn't ready share that story, either.
"Oh... That sounds super stressful" I started spinning one of the rings on my left hand, I could help, but I really wasn't up for it.
"It's nothing you need to worry about!" Kirishima put his hand on mine and gave me a smile, "us heroes will take care of everything, so you won't have to worry about a thing!"
"Thank you, Kiri." I gave him a small smile in return before lacing my fingers with his and spotting another dog, "ooo, look at that one!" I felt my wings flare a bit at the excitement from seeing the large fluffy dog.
"The shikoku?" Kiri was a bit quiet, but I didn't notice as I analyzed the owner of the dog, they were a teenager. they looked tired, but somewhat refreshed by the fresh air.
"Oh that's what it's called, right!" I turned to look at Kirishima, who was looking at me with a smile I had only seen Shoto give me.
"What?" I asked with a small laugh.
"Nothing, did you want to get coffee and come back?"
"No, I'm trying not to have another caffeine addiction right now." I sighed as I started looking around the park again."You've said that before."
"Shhh, I won't get one this time." I moved my hand away from Kirishima's as I got a text. It was from Rin; she wanted to hang out and make dinner. I quickly texted her back and told her I would be busy for the next few nights. Rin wasn't deterred and asked when I would be available, making me roll my eyes. We made plans to hang out in a few days, I did miss making dinner with her and Bakugo, after all. "Sorry, Rin was asking to hang out."
"It's alright, Rin and Bakugo have been really busy lately, Rin has been gathering a lot of intel and Bakugo has been trying to track Izuku. I'm glad they've found time to check on you."
"I would expect them to spend any time they have off with each other, to be honest." Kirishima gave a small chuckle before answering, "what do you mean? They already spend all the time together that they can at the agency. In fact, Bakugo doesn't even take clients alone anymore since Rin is the only person that can keep him calm. Some clients can be so stupid-" Kiri was interrupted by his phone going off, "heyo, this is Kirishma Eijiro speaking." He listened to the person on the other line for a few minutes before standing up and turning to me, "I have to go, Luna, I'll see you later!" Kirishima quickly walked off, still on the phone. I was expecting something to happen, it was rare to have more than a few minutes with the best heroes in Japan, after all.
