chapter two.

February 22nd, 2013

"hi" i heard a voice from behind me say. 

i look back and see michael with a tall awkward blonde boy standing behind him.

i smile. words werent really my thing back then. michael sits down two chairs away from me and the tall boy sitting next to him. 

"my names michael.. and you're valerie right?" he asks flashing a beautiful smile.

"yup thats me" i replied. then mentally slapping myself realising i sound like raven symone. michael laughed probably realising it too and then gestured over to the tall blonde boy.

"this is luke, my cousin, that really annoys me." michael said.

i laughed because luke looked so embarrased i almost felt bad.

"well you annoy me too michael" luke stated confidently. but when michael just rolled his eyes luke went back to eating his sandwhich.

i stopped laughing when michael looked back over to me. 

"dont stop laughing.. you're smile is beautiful." michael said and it felt like he was taking in every part of my face.

"thanks." i chuckled taking a drink of my juice. we sat there for 5 awkward minutes with all of us just looking around the cafeteria.

"do you like burgers?" michael asked suddenly causing me and luke to jump. i laughed in my head because wow luke was so awkwardly funny.

i nodded my head, smiling because i really hoped michael was going to ask me out.

"i know this great place that me and luke have been going to since we were kids. would you maybe wanna go there with me..?" i heard luke chuckle in the background and michael punched him in the arm. 

"yeah i would love to michael." i smiled then i looked across the table and saw my brother glaring at me. i looked away quickly then smiled back at michael when i saw he wrote his number on my phone case that was sat on the table.

"wow nice one, michael. im gonna keep this for memories" i laughed

he winked then got up from the table explaining how he had to get to class early to speak with one of the teachers. luke followed and i could see why he didnt want to sit at the table with just me there because i was just as awkward as him. 

i looked at michael and smiled at him one more time and watched him mouth "beautiful" then i know longer saw the red hair.
