Chapter 16: Stealing

Hey guys, Covid has pushed me to start writing again so here I am again!

Currently Luke was shopping at Target and was browsing when a bracelet caught his eye

Damn I wonder if they'll notice if I put it in my pocket he thought so he looked both ways so no one was watching and shoved the bracelet in his pocket! Then continued to shop around

About two hours later

Luke was about to leave when the alarms went off

"I'm going to ask to check your bags" the security guy told him, he hesitated but slowly showed him his bags

"Ok now your pockets"

Now Luke became super anxious but pulled out the bracelet and gave it to the security guard

"Ok come with me"

Luke followed him through the store to get to the office, once they were situated there he told him to take a seat

"Take a seat, we are going to be here waiting awhile, what's your name young man"

"Luke Hemmings" he mumbled while looking down at his shoes

"Well Luke Hemmings, the police has been called and you will be banned from this Target for a year and if we see your face again we won't be hesitant to call the police"

"Yes sir" he mumbled again

It was about 10 minutes before the police showed and took Luke to the station

At the station

Luke was led Into a cell which had a bed in one corner and that was it, the bars closed leaving him to lay on it before the cops worked on contacting his parents since he was visiting them

RING RING RING

"Hello" Liz answered

"Hello is this Liz Hemmings" Officer Cain asked

"Yes this is who may this be"

"This is officer Cain, we have your son Luke Hemmings at the police station for stealing a bracelet from Target we need you to come and pick him up"

"Oh I see well, I will have my other son Ben pick him up I am current busy at the moment" Liz exclaimed trying to stay calm

"Ok, we just wanted to inform you that Target won't be pressing charges, we will let him off as a warning but if he does it again it will show on his record"

"Ok thank you sir, my son shall be there shortly have a nice day"

"Thank you, you too"

End of phone conversation

"BEN COME DOWNSTAIRS PLEASE" she yelled not able to contain her anger. Ben came running down and stood in front of his mother

"Yes mum"

"It's your brother Lucas mind getting him from jail I'm far to angry to go and get him"

"Yes sure mum" Ben said with an annoyed voice, quickly putting on his coat he got into his car and drove to get his stupid brother

15 minutes later

Ben pulled into the station and parked before walking into the building

"Hey I'm here to pick up Luke Hemmings"

"Yes follow me, he's right through here" Officer Cain said and led him to Luke's jail cell and unlocked it

"Lucas Hemmings" Ben said sternly which made Luke up at his big brother with disappointing eyes
