Prologue: Changes

It's been a week since the raid and Izuku was nowhere to be seen in class. So much had happened that day, no one knew what had happened to Izuku, he was fine that last time they spoke to him, but he hadn't been seeing them nor had he come to class the whole week. It really worried the four students who had known what had happened. It was Friday and some big news was supposed to be announced that morning.

Setsuna, Awase, and Itsuka were in class waiting for it to begin.

Setsuna turned to Itsuka, "Still no word from him?"

Itsuka nodded, "Not a word, Kabuto hasn't even seen Lagatha at the shop"

Ah, there was what happened to Lagatha as well. Apparently, whatever power Izuku had awoken, he managed to save Lagatha's life. After that whole ordeal and the two were completely healed, they left, not saying goodbye to anyone...

It really worried Setsuna, she had seen how broken Izuku had looked when he couldn't even save Lagatha and when she thought she had died. It almost looked like he had given up as if he was ok just lying there and dying. It frightened her to see that look of utter hopelessness in his eyes.

Just then the door of the classroom opened and the three turned around to glance at whoever had walked in, once they did though, their eyes widened with surprise as they saw Izuku enter the classroom, though he looked... different.

Izuku's eyes were now ruby-red, there also seemed to be a bit of bags under his eyes, as if he hadn't slept since that day, his hair looked darker, almost looking like it had turned black, and his skin looked a bit paler then it did before.

"Izuku!" Setuna cried out

Izuku turned his head and looked at her and gave them a soft smile as he walked to them, "Hey guys" he greeted

"Where have you been dude!? We were worried sick!" Awase cried

"Sorry, I didn't mean to worry you guys..." Izuku said "things just came up"

"What kind of things?" Itsuka asked

Izuku looked at her, "we'd have to wait for that talk, right now, Lagatha's also back so after school, she wants all of us to head there, and don't worry, Kabuto's going to be there to, he also needs to know about this" Izuku told them

"Izuku" Setsuna called out

Izuku turned to her and looked her in her dark green eyes and she did the same. Setsuna looked at him with concern and he looked back at her with a soft expression.

"Is everything alright?" Setsuna asked

Izuku looked at her and he smiled, "Yeah, everything's alright" He told her

Setsuna took a look in his eyes and she saw the true feelings in his eyes. They were dull and almost seemed... lifeless. She knew something was bothering him, but what

The bell rang and the students took their seats. Setsuna cursed as she wanted to call Izuku out on his lie, but she took her seat next to him as Vlad King entered the classroom. He looked at the students and saw Izuku.

"Good morning class, and it's good to see you again Izuku, how are you holding up?"

"I'm fine sir" Izuku replied

VladKing nodded, "Good, now I have some really good news for all of you" He said "After today, you'll have to weeks off to prepare for the Sports Festival"

Each of the students smiled at this

"This will be your chance to impress some pros and show them what you got, from there on, you'll be having an internship with pro's, working and learning from them for about a week," Vlad King told them "And I want all of you to give it your all!"

"Yes Sir!" they all replied

Izuku didn't cheer like the rest of the class, instead, his mind wandered to what was to come after the sports festival. Certain individuals were coming to Japan, and Izuku questioning if he truly was ready to be a King...
