Lily fell to the ground with a scream. The pain in her chest stung from the knife, and blood trickled from the wound and down into the sand. She tried to scream for help again, but before she could, the wolf ripped her throat out.
The assassin smirked again, and spread her wings and flew off, leaving Lily laying there in the sand.
Lily thought she was going to die there. Her surroundings were blurry. She wanted to get up, but there was so much pain that she couldn't move. Plus, she didn't have the energy, it was as if all the energy was draining from her.
She then blacked out.
A brown wolf with purple speckles was running by when she spotted Lily bleeding in the sand. "Huh?"
Another wolf, this one white with tall ears, went towards the lifeless body too. "What is this doing here?"
"I don't know," said the brown wolf. "But we have to help her. She needs our help,"
The brown wolf put the lifeless body on her back and carried her to a small hill. She then lay the body down and glanced up at the sky, and then back down at the body.
"I call upon the Sundown Island spirits," she started. "To heal this wolf, close her wounds, and give her life again,"
An orange beam came down from the night sky. All the orange crystals in the desert started to glow, then beams shot out of them and connected to the one that came from the sky. The beam got bigger as it shot down onto Lily's body.
Lily's eyes fluttered open. She no longer felt pain. She got up, and glanced at the wolves who saved her life. "W-what happened? Who are you?"
"We saved you," said the brown one.
"Thank you so much..." Lily said.
"You're welcome," said the brown wolf.
"The last thing I saw was this wolf stab me...and I felt pain, and I blacked out,"
"Yeah, there's assassins," said the brown wolf. "You need to be more careful from now on,"
"Oh, I will, thank you," Lily called back, as she started to walk away. She thought this was going to be the last time she gets attacked.

She was wrong.
