Lia's auburn hair danced in the mild breeze like a drifting dust cloud. It reminded me of the orange sunset in Eyossius Bay, down over yonder, warm like her face when her temper flared. Her flaming mane caught the light in vibrant bloody hues, and I remember why I had fallen in love with Lia in the first place.
She caught my longing stare, blue eyes lighting up with avidity. She sighed delicately. I wished to catch it, put it into my pocket, and listen to it all day whilst I watched Venus rise into the sky and twinkle out of sight...
"Let's run away together..."
Solemn, ecclesiastical tones rang amid the air. Her plump, pink lips pursed with the words she said, then she concluded with a whispery cadence. I felt my lips twinge into a smile. How could such a beaut gaze upon my pale blue skin, my violet eyes, hear my foreign tongue, and love every bit of it? How could she love a monster such as I? I must have thought aloud, for Lia took the conclusion of my thoughts as a trail to blaze her own thoughts upon.
"The fact that we breathe the same air, come from the same Universe, and are able to communicate gives life to the actuality that we are meant to be. It was a matter of time before we met simply five Earth years ago... That is my insight, dearest Quentian."
She did not need to say more then, for I was already on my knees to say the simple words that would signify the beginning of a life spent together for... eternity! I pulled out an icy, shimmering ring, and held it close to Lia...
"You are part of my world today, tomorrow, and you always will be..."
