Hi! This story was made by @T_facer2019 and @ItsKassieJones
It was an ordinary day, in an ordinary muggle world. Kassie and Elody were two sisters who had lived their lives as nothing more than a couple of normal kids. One day the two sisters were relaxing while reading books together in their bed. Everything was quiet as the girls fantasized over their books, when all of a sudden, there was a thud on the window. The girls looked up in shock and ran over to the window to see an owl lying there holding two letters.
"What the heck was that?" Asked Kassie.
"Umm I'm pretty sure it was an owl" said Elody in a sarcastic voice.
Kassie pushed her sister playfully, "very funny" she said.
The girls opened the window slowly, afraid the owl would awake and fly into them. Kassie grabbed the letters and shut the window quickly. She ripped one open and read it aloud. "Dear Mrs. Kassie Stevens, you have been accepted to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft," she paused hesitating to read more "and Wizardry?"
"Huh?" Said Elody.
"Give me that." Elody grabbed it from her hands.
"Oh, she stared at it in shock. That is what it says".
The girls stood there in shock looking at the letter like it was talking itself. "Look! There's more!" Said Kassie pulling out a smaller piece of paper. "It says platform 93/4"
"That's not a real thing though, maybe mom and dad are playing tricks on us." The girls ran downstairs to see their parents sitting on the couch.
"Mom!" Shouted Kassie.
"Why are there owls flying into our windows delivering random letters?"
Mrs. Stevens looked at Kassie with a surprised look across her face.
"Yeah the letter said that we have been accepted to Hogwarts school of Witchcraft and Wizardry" she said emphasizing the words Witchcraft And Wizardry. The expression on their parents faces changed from confusion to big grins.
" It also says something about platform 93/4,'' said Kassie," still in a slight shot of confusion. "That doesn't exist, does it?" asked Elody.
"Yes girls it does, and so does Hogwarts believe it or not."
"we feel really bad for keeping all this a secret from you, we didn't want to get your hopes up if you weren't witches." The girls looked at each other confused.
"witches? Keep what a secret?" asked Kassie.
"Well, when we were 11 years old, we got accepted to Hogwarts too. It's a school of magic.
"you guys got our magic genes and were so proud!" Said their dad.
The girls looked at each other more confused than ever. "Ohh, I get it, this is a prank right?" said Elody.
Their parents looked at each other, then back at their daughters. "no, it's not, you will be attending Hogwarts on September first instead of your usual muggle school."
"what's a muggle?" said the girls together.
"A person who is non magic, like all your school friends.
The girls were still slightly confused at the information they had just retained.
"So what is this school like?" Asked Elody.
"It's just like any other school, except you take different subjects, like potions and transfiguration instead of math and science."
"Oh, and you get to go on trips, on the weekend" added their father, "see, practically the same thing."
"And we come back home everyday?"
"No," said Ms. Stevens,
"you'll be staying for the whole year".
"The WHOLE YEAR"! Exclaimed the girls.
"Yup" said Mrs. Stevens, "but it's not that bad, it'll be fun don't worry."
"What if we don't want to go?" asked Kassie. "could we stay here and not go?"
"I can't imagine why you wouldn't want to go!" exclaimed their dad.
"It's an amazing school, the teachers are great and you'll make lots of friends."
"Fine", said Elody, "I'll go"
"Sure why not", added Kassie.
Great, said Mr. Stevens, "tomorrow morning we will go to "The Leaky Cauldron" in London and get all your school supplies."
Both Elody and Kassie were still confused, but not as much as the second the owl hit their window.
While the girls were getting ready for bed, they were quieter than usual. Elody liked to ramble on a lot about stuff she found interesting and Kassie liked to listen, but tonight all they had on their minds was the fact that in 3 days they would be attending a MAGICAL school for WITCHES and WIZARDS!
"Do you think mom and dad are trying to trick us?, like maybe they are taking us on a vacation and they just made this up to confuse us?" asked Kassie, sounding hopeful and confused.
"I don't know, maybe, but they seemed pretty serious about it, I don't know how much someone can make up. We'll find out tomorrow" said Elody. The girls fell asleep pondering their thoughts.
The next morning the girls woke up in a brighter mood, almost as if they had forgotten about the fact that they were Witches attending a magic school tomorrow! "I had a dream last night, it was strange but real," said Kassie.
"I don't know if that was a dream Kass, I think we actually are witches''. Kassie's smile slowly faded away when she heard that.
"Oh well this will be fun!" she said, forcing a smile.
"Kassie, Elody come down for breakfast!" called their mother from the kitchen. The girls threw on a plain pair of jeans and two matching black shirts.
"Look, last night I don't know what happened, it felt so real, you don't think something bad is going to happen, do you? Asked Kassie".
"Kass, nothing bad is going to happen to us, mom and dad told us this school is perfectly safe, if it wasn't, they wouldn't let us go."
"I know, it just seemed kind of dodgy, having owls at our window telling us were magical witches." said Kassie
"Stop worrying Kass, it'll be fine, OK, I promise," said Elody comforting her sister with a hug.
"We just have to get used to the fact that this is going to be our new home for a year, so just take a deep breath and try not to think about it too much, okay?" Said Elody.
"Okay" said Kassie, taking a deep breath out, putting the thought of the dream to the back of her head, following her sister down to the kitchen.
The girls went downstairs for breakfast. "hey girls, how'd you sleep?" asked their dad.
"fine I guess" said Kassie.
"Listen girls, I understand what we told you yesterday was a lot to take in, but you're going to need to understand us ok? This school is no joke, you're leaving us for about a year to learn magic."
The sisters looked at each other, then sat down to eat breakfast.
"This looks great mom, thanks!" said Kassie.
Kassie has always been the nicer sister, always keeping her opinions to herself and making sure everyone around her was happy before herself, but Elodly was more outtroverted, she says what she is thinking all the time on how she feels about something, she bottles up her emotions, just like her sister, and can read people very well, it was a super power of hers.
"Hurry up and eat girls, said Mrs. Stevens, we have to go to Diagon Alley to get your school supplies."
As soon as the girls finished up breakfast, they quickly got into the car and started driving. It was a bright sunny day, they drove about an hour, until they reached a sketchy alley with a sign which read:
"The Leaky Cauldron" .
