The Offer

ROSE'S POV
I sat silently fidgeting with my fingers when the car parked onto the side and Matt said "We're here ".

The four of us got out and stood in front of a tall building.

I looked at the guys as they were talking amongst themselves. That Matt guy. I've seen him somewhere. Argh! Why cant I remember?.

A blue car passed us .Blue was my ex boyfriend Mark's favorite colour. I felt rage as I thought of mark .Wait.... Mark ,that night ,in the alley, drunk guy ,..... Matt was the guy who saved me!!! I looked at Matt with shocked eyes, he looked at me back with a "What the hell" expression.

Should I say anything? A thank you maybe? I dont think he remembers me from yesterday. I mean it was dark right? I do not what to do. I think I'll keep my mouth shut for now.

We started walking into the large building. The four of us got in the elevator and Mike pressed the button for the 53rd floor! Woah 53 floors!...

We got out onto a humongous floor. People were doing their work. The office looked really neat and organized.

I was still puzzled.

Why did they bring us here? Did they want some money or something? No,then they would have asked it at the cafe. Oh well, we'll see.

I saw some girls working there making googly eyes and gawking at Matt. Ack!

We walked through a long corridor and came upon a huge door. Mike knocked and a deep voice said "Come in ".

A huge luxurious room! Me and chloe went in first and saw a guy sitting in a chair ,his back facing us.

Suddenly Chloe caught hold of my hand , I looked at her and followed where her eyes were looking at.
'Mr George McCoy' -the name tag on the table read.

Mr McCoy...My dad's friend and also the boss of the spy agency I worked at. He was the one who recruited me and chloe.

When we quit I could see the sadness in his eyes that day. I've never seen or heard from him since. He loved me like his own daughter.

I looked at Chloe with bewildered eyes and we both slowly backed out but was blocked by matt and mike. I turned around to a smirking Matt.

Suddenly Mr McCoy clearedhis throat and turned around to face us. Boy he grew old. We all looked at each other in silence for a few seconds.

Then he said "Hello girls ,how are you?"

" We're good" we said...

I spent most of my childhood in this agency. He took care of me when I was afraid. When the incident causing me to resign happened ,he was sad but he never forced me not to quit.

He shook chloe's hand . After shaking mine he pulled me into a small hug. I missed working for the agency but I didn't want to upset my dad by joining again.

I pulled out of the hug and he motioned for us to sit. I looked at the guys and they were shocked as to what a softie there boss turned into.

Well I guess Mr Carrey was a bit tough here. I chuckled and sat down. The boys also sat down.

"Ok, so you guys might be wondering why I called you here. Well, you see our branch has a couple of spies. But there are only 4 spies in the highcorp (the high ranking spies section). "

He took a pause and let out a deep breath.

"I know its sudden and all but let's cut to the question.Will you guys consider joining the agency again??" he asked with a bold voice.
