“How could you be so stupid?! “
I bury my face into my hands as my father continues to yell at me. My mom does her best to try and calm him down but even she is furious. I’m pretty sure that my neighbours can hear him. He’s loud enough to wake up the entire block if they were sleeping.
“I thought I raised you better than that!! We gave you everything! And now you’re gonna ruin your future because of THAT?!” he continued.
“I’M SORRY!” I yelled back. “Do you think I wanted this to happen!?”
Daddy stomps towards me and raises his hand, I brace myself for the impact of his hand but it never comes. I look up and see that his hands are just on his head. Mommy is crying. She won’t even look at me.
I’m too caught up in my own thoughts, tears streaming down my face. I don’t realize that my dad has been trying to get my attention.
“AMANDA JANE HANSEN ARE YOU LISTENING TO ME!” he screams so loud. His face is red and I swear to you I saw steam coming out of his ears. “FROM THIS POINT ON YOU ARE GROUNDED! DO YOU HEAR ME?! YOU ARE GROUNDED UNTIL I UNGROUND YOU! YOU WILL GO TO SCHOOL AND COME STRAIGHT HOME. NO GOING OUT, NO MOVIES, NO NOTHIN’!” and with those final words he goes up the stairs and slams his bedroom door.
“Mommy,” I cry, pleading with my eyes. I reach to grab her hands but instead,
“Not now Mandy... not now,” she mutters. And she too follows my dad into their bedroom. I hear more muffled yells through their bedroom. I can’t blame them. I just gave my parents the biggest, unexpected... surprise that they didn’t think they’d hear until at least years from now.
I slump to the floor trying to catch my breath. At this point, the tears are uncontrollable. It’s like I can’t tell my brain to shut off the waterworks. I’m trembling. My greatest fears have come true. So many thoughts are racing through my head that I can’t even think straight right now. My parents are angry and disappointed. Hell, even I’m disappointed. But what’s done has been done. They just need time. That’s it. Time.
I look down and wrap my hands around my stomach as I whisper, “They’ll love you... in time.”
I don’t know what to do. I’m only a junior in high school. He won’t know what happened. He doesn’t even know me. It was one night, one mistake, that will forever change my life. I never thought in a million years that I’d be seventeen and pregnant.

Soooooo I'm going to try and make an attempt to actually pull through with this story since I hit major writer's block on my other ones. I have an idea with what to do with this story, and I'm hoping I just don't get caught up on my school life. Well, comment, vote, fan! Lemme know what you think so far! I'll have chapter two up tomorrow! There's a picture of Mandy on the side. This is how I picture her to look like.
