As she lay on the ground,

covered with battered clothes and diabolical dreams,

All she could ponder over was, "Oh Lord! Why me?"

You broke her down, shattered her body,

Injected her with poison, ripped her dignity.

You saw her eyes flicker and die,

then fellow earthling, why didn't you cry?

You invaded into her mind,

stole that piece of her soul,

Filled her with disgust and self-loathe.

She was a daughter, somebody's ray of hope.

She was a sister, her brother's best friend.

She was everthing to her man.

You ruined her dreams, her plans,

You left her hapless and prone to death.

She was an angel, a pure divinity,

But you clipped her wings,

prohibited her flight.

And when she tried to smile,

You burned her down with acid.

You are a smudge to his society,

as dark as the dungeons of Lord Hades.

It was despicable as she passed out that night,

Alas! All I ask of you is, WHY?

This is a tribute to all the rape victims out there.

You know you are not alone. Together we stand.

And justice will definitely be served.

Keep hope alive. Remember, you're a greater person, a greater human being and that is something nobody can take from you!
