One of the hardest things in life is to love yourself. Insecurities are the things that stop us from forming friendships, making memories, feeling comfortable and truely happy with ourselves. You want to be happy. Everyone does. To feel that true happiness you need to respect yourself, be patient with your self, accept your flaws and all your mistakes... You need to love yourself. Over come that wave of self hate and enjoy the peace of self love.

This is a story about the life of my mom, Eve Fulton. I started writing letters to her, two or three a week for several years. They talked about our journey together as a family and the issues we faced. When my mom passed, a volunteer came up to me to say she read the many letters to my mom. I asked her if she kept any. She replied no. So, for the passed year or so I have copied out the stories, and placed them in a logical order. The order will become more and more apparent as the tale progresses.

Many hundreds of years ago in a small Italian town, a merchant had the misfortune of owing a large sum of money to the moneylender. The moneylender, who was old and ugly, fancied the merchant's beautiful daughter so he proposed a bargain. He said he would forgo the merchant's debt if he could marry the daughter. Both the merchant and his daughter were horrified by the proposal. The moneylender told them that he would put a black pebble and a white pebble into an empty bag. The girl would then have to pick one pebble from the bag. If she picked the black pebble, she would become the moneylender's wife and her father's debt would be forgiven. If she picked the white pebble she need not marry him and her father's debt would still be forgiven. But if she refused to pick a pebble, her father would be thrown into jail. They were standing on a pebble strewn path in the merchant's garden. As they talked, the moneylender bent over to pick up two pebbles. As he picked them up, the sharp-eyed girl noticed that he had picked up two black pebbles and put them into the bag. He then asked the girl to pick her pebble from the bag.

A popular speaker started off a seminar by holding up a 100 rupee note. A crowd of 200 had gathered to hear him speak. He asked, "Who would like this 100 rupee note?" 200 hands went up. He said, "I am going to give this 100 rupee note to one of you but first, let me do this." He crumpled the note up. He then asked, "Who still wants it?" All 200 hands were still raised. "Well," he replied, "What if I do this?" Then he dropped the note on the ground and stomped on it with his shoes. He picked it up, and showed it to the crowd. The note was all crumpled and dirty. "Now who still wants it?" All the hands still went up.
