It wasn't her bleeding out. It wasn't the sounds of her screams, no. It was much worse. All of her family were where she was. From her youngest sibling to her grandmother, it was them. It was their screams that haunted her, their cries of "Why did you do it? Why did you kill us Hailey? It should have been you". Battery acid melting faces and flesh into bones and marrow. Crushed under bits and pieces of shrapnel, they cried out " Help us! Save me! Why, why? Don't you love us?" Reaching, pulling on her arm, her arm that was bent and twisted into akward angles. She wasn't sure she would be able to function with it, she couldn't feel it, she couldn't feelitwhycan'tshefeelherarm- stop. She has to calm down. But if she couldn't feel her arm, how could she feel calm? It was numb, she was numb, staring at her family with their faces melting and their crying and begging and screaming. What's the point anymore, she thought. And with those thoughts, she let herself burn.
