chapter six.

*time jump*

It's been 3 years since the last time i've seen Emily. 3 years since the last time I saw anyone. Once my parents made me leave my old college, I go to a college in tennessee.

Tomorrow is my senior year. I've managed to make new friends, but they're not as close. I miss Spencer, his usually happy attitude.

My parents made me throw my phone away, causing me to have no one. I kept Spencer's number though, him telling all of the drama.

I frequently asked him about Emily, how she was holding up. He told me she became a little happier. But, if emily was happy even without me, I would be happy too.

I didn't want to sit in my room all night before school, so I called one of my new friends Penelope. She was bright, funny, and she always was down to party.

I told her everything that happened, and she just comforted me. I would never open up to anyone like that. She just knew what to do whenever I told her.

I told her to wear something flashy, something you would only wear once at a club. She told me she would be at my house at 7:30.

I got dressed, I wore a white feather strap dress, hugging my curves perfectly. I topped it off with some clear stilettos, and some jewelry.

I recently cut my hair, making it a short bob. I looked at myself in the mirror, imagining that Emily was behind me, just watching me. Touching me.

I got cut out of my daydreaming from a text from penelope.

I grabbed my bag, putting my lipgloss, money, and keys and headed out the door.

"Hi Pen!", I said happily. "Hi y/n!! You look so gorg.", Penelope said.

"Are you ready to get blackout drunk?", I asked laughing. "Babes, i'm the driver here, and.. yes!!", she said excitedly.

We made our way to the club, it being packed with college students. I had bought vip passes so we wouldn't had to wait in the long line.

We got in, the music blaring. I got us a table in the front and asked Penny what she wanted to drink.

"Multiple shots of vodka babe!", she said.

"Coming right up!", I said, and went to the bar to get the shots.

"And what can I get for you young lady?", the bartender asked.

"10 shots of vodka!", I said excitedly.

"Are you planning on drinking all of these shots by yourself?", I heard a deep voice behind me.

He was tall, he had dark hair, and his dark brown eyes popped out. He was wearing an all black suit, and two of his buttons in his shirt was down.

"Well, i'm waiting for an answer.", he said, his deep voice coming through.

"I- no. I have a friend at that table over there.", I said nervously.

"Let me buy them for you. My name is Hotchner. Aaron hotchner." I internally screamed, trying to keep my face straight.

I lead him to the table, I can feel his eyes glued onto me. I glanced back, catching him in the act. I smirked and led him to the table.

"Hey Penny, this man Aaron bought us drinks.", I said smirking.

"Why thank you hot stuff.", Penny said in a flirty manner.

"Penny!", I scolded. "This ones mine.", I said smiling brightly. I saw Aaron try to hide a smile, but failed.

"Say Hotchner, do you happen to have a friend?" Penny asked.

"Actually, I do. He's right over there." he points, chuckling.

"Wow.", Penny says, mouth wide. "He is amazing. I'm gonna go talk to him. You two love birds make out!", She says laughing, as she makes her way to the man.

"Well, you're friend is quite a flirt.", Aaron says.

"That's Penelope for you!," I said laughing. He let out a small laugh, making me fall in love.

Wait. Love? Y/n, catch a break, my brain told me.

"You have a very pretty smile, miss y/l/n." Aaron said. Butterflies invaded my lower stomach.

"Thank you Mr. Hotchner.", I said trying to contain my feelings. "You don't have a bad smile either.", i said smirking.
