chapter nine.

It was the next day, and I looked like a mess. My hair was everywhere, my eye bags were so bad, and I looked like a zombie.

I decided I was going to skip class today, so I could get in the right headspace. I texted Penny and told her I was going to stay home. She brought me some coffee and a cake pop from starbucks before she left for school.

I really just wanted to talk to Emily, and tell her I need her. But she's moved on. She's over me. That's the part that really hurts.

I texted Spencer and told him to give me her number if he still had it. I was really hoping he did so I could at least text her.

Spence gave me her number and I decided to text her.

Y/n, you don't have to keep apologizing. I forgive you. I'm only being distant because I love you too. But in a few weeks I have to go back to Quantico. I really want you to come with me, but its too risky. I need you to talk to me. I need you to be here so I can tell you what i'm planning to do. Please come over later so we can talk.

That text did something to me. She still loves me. What does this mean? Will she ask me? Will I be hers? I tried to get the thoughts out of my mind and went to take a shower.

I got out, and I felt so much better about the situation that was about to occur. I got some baggy jeans out of my closet, and a black oversized shirt. I matched that with a black pair of converse and some white socks.

To pass time I decided to go to the park. I walked in the trail and fed some geese, trying to think of what to say to Emily. I cleared my mind, just looking at the pond.

I ended up staying there for longer than I wanted to. I checked my phone and it was 2:30. I decided to go over to Emily's house early and just wait. I got there about 15 minutes later and I waited in my car.

A good 30 minutes later I saw a car pull up beside me. The person got out and knocked on my window, scaring me. I saw Emily let out a little chuckle. I got out of the car and she lead me to her front door.

When I walked in, I saw a little black cat meet me at my feet. He purred as I bent down to pet him.

"Wow. Sergio really likes you. That's rare.", Emily chuckled.

"Does he not like new people? I wouldn't have guessed by the way he's purring.", I asked smiling.

"Yeah, he's not really good with newbies. Usually he would scratch you or bite you.", Emily said.

As I made my way over to the living room I saw pictures of what seemed to be Emily with her BAU team. She looked so happy with them, like they were her family. I made myself comfortable on her couch, and Sergio hopped up beside me.

"Would you like something to drink?", she asked.

"Uh yeah, water please.", I said.

She got me a glass of water and set it in front of me. She sat down hesitantly and turned towards me.

"Let me talk. Then you can interject. I do love you y/n. I want to take you with me, but I would be risking everything. If my team finds out i've been with you, they might fire me. Not to mention what the school will do. Look, I know you want to come with me but we would have to wait until you get out of school."

"I can drop out! This is my last year and I don't really pay attention so-"

"No you cannot drop out y/n. It just won't work."

"I can make an excuse. I can do something to be out for a couple of weeks. Please Emily."

"I don't know. I really want you to come with me, but at what cost?"
