I didn't like it, the emptiness I saw. The mirror felt lonely. I would wait for him every day but he would never show up.
I wished he'd come back so I could tell him I'm sorry. I didn't like him being away. I didn't realise his worth when I had him close and so his absence taunted my heart. It was my fault for pushing him away. I regretted it. I wanted him back.
"I miss you," I whispered to the silent mirror.
There was no reply, as expected so, his voice was just a memory in my head.
