Harry grabbed Draco's sleeve as he chased him up the stairs, Harry could tell he was on the edge of tears again. He took Draco's hand and lead him back to the common room but Ginny was sat there reading, so he dragged Draco up the stairs and into their dorm room. Harry rummaged through his trunk, looking for something, Draco watched him as he pulled out a small ebony box, it was engraved with beautiful patterns and the letters DD.

"I stole it from Dudley" Harry said, "My cousin. He had been given it for his birthday but once he had eaten all the sweets inside he forgot about it"

Harry sat down on the bed next to Draco and opened the box, inside was the prettiest letter writing set with a beautiful quill. Small silver flowers and tiny mandalas lined the edges of the paper, Draco brought forth a pot of black ink and took the quill from Harry's open palm. Draco began writing and as he wrote, tears splashed down onto the paper. Draco finished writing in his beautiful curly handwriting and signed his name. He placed the letter into one of the intricately decorated envelopes, scribbled his father's name on the front and looked up at Harry.

"Thank you" Draco muttered, "But why are you being so kind to me?"

Harry looked into Draco's eyes, with a kind expression, "I've been there, having no friends, your family hating you and feeling like you don't belong. Those were the first 11 years of my life, i'll never wish that upon somebody else"

"Now come on!" Harry announced, "Let's get to the Owlery before Transfiguration or McGonagall will murder us!"

It was strange, to say the least. The 4 house tables weren't the same, they were pushed towards the wall, not much but they had been shifted so there was a large walkway down the middle of the hall - creating a gap almost like a red carpet. Draco and Harry were one of the last to take their seats, the students had had all afternoon off school because the teachers were dealing with an important matter so Harry and Hermione spent the time out on the grounds, teaching Ron and Draco how to play frisbee. They were now all sitting together at the Gryffindor table, laughing about the bruise Draco had from getting hit in the head with the frisbee.

Dumbledore began to speak and just as he announced the news of The Triwizard Tournament, the large wooden doors to the hall swung open. Dressed in long fur coats with big leather boots on, 20 boys marched down the middle of the hall and everybody watched in awe, everybody except Draco. "Beauxbatons" Dumbledore shouted as blue butterflies flew in through the door. Harry turned to watch the display but Draco, sat opposite him, wasn't interested. As the girls and boys of Beauxbatons began to do gymnastics, Draco looked away uninterested, he just watched Harry. Studying his every move, black curls bouncing on his head, glasses sliding down his nose, his smile, a smile that could light up a thousand rooms. Draco looked longingly at Harry, seemingly unaware he was doing so.

Only when the blue flames came flying from the Goblet Of Fire did Draco look up, confused that he'd zoned out at all. 24 hours and they'd be back here again, he wondered who would be the Hogwarts' champion. He told Harry he would've loved to give the tournament a go if he was old enough, prove his father wrong about Gryffindors. Harry reassured Draco he had nothing to prove to his father, if his own dad couldn't look past his house to see the wonderful person he was, then he deserved better. Draco nodded, it was a nervous nod but he knew that, whatever the letter from his father said, Harry would be there for him.
