Chapter 12
No one's POV
Later that evening, Valentina got ready for her date with Hunter, but little did she know that something unexpected was going to happen. Adriel and Valentina picked fancy clothes together.
As Hunter was getting ready for his date with Valentina, he thought to himself," Tonight's the night I ask Valentina to be my best friend forever.
Adriel's POV
It was so hard trying to work with Valentina because she wouldn't choose a dress but finally she chose a white, rhinestone gown, it was truly beautiful. Next was her hair, she changed her hair color from a fiery red to a dark brown.
I wasn't helping her because she was my boss, I was helping her because she took me under her wing when I was little. When she was 8 and I was 7 she would always protect me from danger, even though she was young and small, she would lie to a fancy hotel owner and say that our grandmother is upstairs waiting for us to get back from the vending machine. We never got caught and she even lied to an old woman saying that our abandoned us when we were little and we needed someone to stay with. Valentina was a very smart child, and she never told anyone about her past and her secret abilities but me because she felt like she could trust me to keep a huge secret for her. She said that if I ever told anyone that she'd hunt me down and kill me with no mercy. Slowly she had been changing to an innocent,helpless,sweet,vulnerable girl that she used to be when we were little girls. I am very protective of Valentina, I would hate to see her heart get broken again.
Valentina's POV
I had just gotten done getting ready for my date when Hunter had rung the doorbell. I opened it to reveal a Hunter in a black tuxedo holding a red rose. "Here, I got you this rose just for you." he told me as he handed the rose to me blushing. "Thanks."
At the restaurant
Hunter and I talked and laughed until the food got here. "Wow, for a small girl you sure do eat a lot. I mean any other girl would have just ordered a salad or a water but you, well you are amazing just the way you are and you aren't afraid to be yourself." I had ordered a medium rare steak, white rice, pot roast, booked broccoli and on top of that, a extra strong Watermelon Tequila on the rocks in a huge glass.
When we finished all our food (and I drunk all my Tequila) Hunter did something unexpected.
He got down on one knee and held out a beautiful promise ring while we were still in the restaurant and asked me in front of everyone, "Valentina Sonclair, do you promise to love me forever until the day we both die and never leave me behind?" I started to cry tears of joy. Everybody was staring at me some was saying 'Say yes! Say yes!' And some were saying 'Awwwwww!!!' I wiped the tears from my eyes and said,"OUI mon amour! (YES MY LOVE!)" Hunter stood up and put the ring on my finger, on the ring it said 'Forever True Forever Friends' I hugged him tightly whispering in his ear,"I promise that I won't ever leave you if you promise to not ever leave me." "I promise." he whispered back in my ear. We stopped hugging and looked at the crowd as they were telling us 'congratulations',snapping pictures, and taking videos.
Hunter's POV
Valentina had been my best friend since I had first met her (which was since 9th grade). I loved her, she was like the little sister I never had. The crowd started saying 'KISS,KISS,KISS' and 'KISS HER!'
I looked at Valentina and she looked at me and gave me an 'what the heck,let's just give them what they want' while shrugging her shoulders, before I knew it we were kissing. Her lips tasted like pomegranates and vanilla. I wished we could pause this moment forever.
Then, I glanced out the window and saw a boy watching us, so I said to her,"Valentina don't worry but we are being watched." I saw her whole body get tensed. "You stay here while I go check it out,okay?" she told me. I prayed that she wouldn't get her and that nothing bad would happen to her.
