Chapter 5
Valentina's POV
"Classe Aujourd'hui, nous avons trois nouveaux étudiants , Johanna , Alexandr , et Mason . (Today class we have three new students,Johanna,Alexandr, and Mason.)" I heard Ms.Angelena say but I was to busy drawing but when I heard her say that there were only three seats left and Mason had to sit by me I quickly looked up at my teacher and tried to search for more seats but she was right,"Mason sit by Valentina. Valentina will you please raise your hand?" Ms.Angelena asked me, I raised my hand and looked up to see that those were the three people that were following her."Seriously!" I thought to myself.
"Valentina will you please stand up and read what happened to Jewish people in German Concentration Camps in French please?" Ms.Angelena asked me. I nodded my head and stood up,"Peuple juif dans concentation camps ont été suspendus et mis dans des chambres à gaz se ils tentaient de se échapper . (Jewish people in Concentration Camps were hung and put in gas chambers if they tried to escape.)" "Now may you please translate that in Japanese for us?" Ms.Angelena asked me becasue she loved hearing me talk in both French and Japanese. "Sure Ms.Angelena." "Concentation kyanpu no yudayahito ga hangu shita to, karera wa dasshutsu shiyou to shita baai, gasu-shitsu ni irete. (Jewish in Concentration Camps were hung and put in gas chambers if they tried to escape.)" I told the class in my native tongue.
Mason's POV
I couldn't belive that this girl could speak Japanese and French. I looked down at her chair to see her notebook open, she basicly drew every single mark and word ever known to exist. Now I see why everyone is trying to find her, she must be extremely special.

Valentina's POV
After class I quickly grabbed my stuff and ran to my locker to meet up with Miguel so we could go to lunch together. Miguel has been my best friend since the first day of school, he's always been there for me when I needed him. When I got to my locker I saw that Miguel was already there waiting for me,"Qu'est-ce qui ne va pas mon amour ? Est quelque chose vous préoccupe ? (What's wrong my love? Is something troubling you?)" Miguel asked me tilting his head to the side and looking at me with a concerned look on his face. "Oui, ce qui est mal, ce est que je suis très faim et nous ne sommes pas manger !(Yea,what's wrong is that I am extremely hungry and we aren't eating!)" I told Miguel jokingly.
After we got our lunch we sat in out usual spot (which was the corner of the cafeteria). "So,um... I wanted to know if you wanted to go swimming at the beach today afterschool?" Miguel asked me heistating. "Sure! I love swimming." I said excitedly. What I hadn't noticed was that Alex,Johanna, and Mason were watching us and evesdropping on our conversation.
After school on at the beach
Miguel's POV
Today I was gonna ask my best friend out on a date, that is if I don't chicken out. I really liked Valentina because she was sweet,funny,brave,beautiful,fun to be around.
When I saw Valentina come out of the car she was wearing a sexy,two-piece bathing suit. She ran up to me and asked,"Are you ready to go swimming?" "Yup." I replied. Then that when she took off the lace covering and threw it on the sand. Out of the corner of my eyes saw three people hiding behind a rock watching us, I had the feeling that they were dangerous but I just shook off the feeling.
Valentina's POV
After 2 hours of swimming we decided to lay down and watch the sunset go down. When the sun went down Miguel told me to stay right here while he went to go get something, and when he came back, he gave me a small square box. "Open it." Miguel told me. In the box was a stone that glowed and it had a special mark on it ,but I didn't know what it was."Happy Birthday Valentina." Miguel told me smiling. I got on the tip of my toes and kissed Miguel on the lips passionately then I pulled away and said," Thank you Miguel, its beautiful. I will always treasure it forever." "It's a rare glowstone. The mark on the stone signifies that you will always be protected as long as you keep this stone with you."Miguel told me. "Ask him out! Ask him out!" I thought to myself. "Valentina?" Miguel said,"Yea?" "Will you go out with me, as friends?" Miguel asked me. I really did like Miguel,"Yes."
As Miguel started to put stuff up,I just layed on the sand looking at the stars and after a while,I fell asleep.
Mason's POV
As the boy was putting some stuff up I saw that Valentina had fallen asleep,"I'll be right back." I said. "Mason please don't tell me that you are gonna go steal spider girl while she's sleeping and while that boy is still putting stuff up!" Johanna said to me but I had already gone to go get her,"I don't see what's so special aboout this girl that Mason is obssessing over her." I heard Brandon say.
I knew my friends didn't want me to bring her back to the Academy but I didn't care because there was just something about her that was really special that nobody else saw but I didn't know what it was.
I quietly ran over to where I saw Valentina sleeping and picked her up carefully,and surprisingly she was extremely light and it seemed like she was a heavy sleeper. I ran back to Johanna and Alex and we left the beach.
