ユリ、パッド

This has been a head canon of mine for a while. Ever since I first started shipping them, actually. Which was about one and a half years ago. And NO ONE can tell me he wouldn't do this either. Also, this is staying a one-shot, no matter what y'all do. This is just something I wrote at 5 am to pass the time while I finish my chapter for Sage of Six Young Paths and my one-shot for TAONAH (The Adventures of Naruto and Hinata, if you didn't figure that out already.)

The first time he did it, or really the first time she noticed it, was when they were taking a walk in the park in the middle of April.

It was spring, so that meant it was cherry blossom season. Personally, Ochaco loves cherry blossoms. They're so pretty and really set the spring time mood just right. The way they landed on the water was so gentle, what wasn't there to love about them, you know!

And, of course, like the loving boyfriend he is, when Izuku found out about her love for cherry blossom trees, he suggested that they go to a park that he had been to a few times for afternoon runs before they started living at the dorms.

She agreed, obviously, and so, soon enough, they were on their way. They got their teachers permission before hand though. It'd be really irresponsible of them to just walk out. And a bit embarrassing now that she thought about it. But nonetheless, they got to go to the park.

The couple were a few minutes into walking through the park, drinking in the sights, when Deku's hand latched onto her's suddenly. Not that she had a problem with it, she loved the lingering feeling his hands on hers gives. But what he did afterwards was what made her smile.

He absentmindedly started to tap her finger pads one by one, as to not activate her quirk and float away.

She thought it was adorable, honestly. Why he had taken a strange liking to poking at her touch pads was a mystery to her, but she wouldn't stop it.

The second time she noticed it was during movie night at the 2-A dorms.

Movie night was something they all (excluding Bakugo) came up with. It was meant as a way to simply unwind from the day's events and laugh together. It was usually hosted on Friday nights. While they did have school the next day (it was a hero school, of course they went over time), it wasn't until afternoon time, so everyone got the chance to sleep in some.

It was Kaminari's turn to pick the movie and only God knows what goes on in that guy's mind.

Lest to say, everyone was a bit fearful about what the electric boy would choose. But he ended up selecting a fairly normal 'slice of life' sort of movie. Surprising, she knows.

It was sometime in the middle of the movie when Deku decided it was a good time to hold her hand, as they were leaning on each other on the couch, watching the tv they had installed sometime in the later months of their first year.

And, again, the crooked fingers of his right hand started tapping and poking at her finger pads one at a time.

A small, sweet, love-filled smile spread across her lips as he kept doing it. Honestly, how cute could her boyfriend get?

The third time she noticed was the time she actually decided to ask him about his little habit.

Class 2-A had the weekend off and permission from their teachers that they could visit their families during this short break. And so what did Izuku do? Took advantage of this and offered for her to finally meet his mother over dinner at his house.

Ochaco said yes, obviously. What kind of girlfriend would she be if she said no?

And the dinner went very well, in her personal opinion.

Deku's mother, Inko, was a very nice woman and was very easy to talk to. And yes, like every mother does when their child brings over their significant other, she showed Ochaco his baby pictures. They were so adorable and she wished she could reach into the photo and squish his little freckled cheeks. The boy himself was, you guessed it, extremely embarrassed. Practically begging for his mom to stop until finally giving up and opting to clean the dirty dishes. He was very red-faced, even while he cleaned dirty utensils. Not that she would tell him that she noticed.

After that little event, Inko-san excused herself to her room, as to give them their own space. Such a nice lady, she was.

The tv in front of them played a random interview about a hero she had never heard before. Meh, Izuku's probably heard of them.

This time, Ochaco was the one to initiate the hand holding. Gently snaking and intertwining her fingers with his, careful to keep one finger up as to keep her quirk in check.

Soon enough, he started tapping her finger pads again.

Chuckling softly to herself, Izuku must've heard it as he looked her way with questioning eyes.

"What's up?"

"Huh! Oh, nothing. Just realized something funny." She answered cheerily.

"What'd you realize?" He asked innocently, clearly not taking into account what he was doing right then.

"Did you know that nearly every time you hold my hand, you tap my finger pads?" Ochaco asked, holding up her free hand as a demonstration.

It took him a second to fully register what she had said, but when he did, he ripped his hand out of hers so fast that she was sure it was dislocated.

His face heated to a tomato-like red as he covered his eyes with his forearm.

"I'm sorry! I didn't even notice!" He said, flustered.

"It's alright, Deku! I never said I didn't like it! I just asked why you did it." She explained patiently.

Izuku took a second to think it over before giving her an answer.

"Honestly, I'm not sure when I started or why I do it. It just feels right, you know? I-I'm sorry, that sounded really cheesy!" He apologized again.

"Hey, it's fine, you can keep doing it! I think it's adorable!" She reassured him.

As a result, he nearly overheats.

Ahhhhh, this was refreshing to write. Even if I did it at 5:52 am! I hope you guys enjoyed reading it as much as I did when I proofread it!
