Chapter two

"So are you gonna explain what happened yesterday?" questioned Raven

"W-what do you mean?" I stuttered, trying to avoid the question.

"Wow"

"what?" I honestly didn't want to answer any questions concerning yesterday.

"So you were swept away by a d'Angelo to God knows where and only God knows what you two were doing."

"You think I would-"

"Oh no, but with him involved yes."

"I don't understand," I tried to push a little smile on my face to try and stop myself from panic.

"Listen I'm not gonna say too much so you don't panic"

Well, it was a little too late for that don't ya think.

"OK continue" I replied eager to find out what she was about to tell me.

"Just stay away from him, stay away OK and stay away from his friends they are all bad news, ya hear me?"

I was so confused. Bad news, how could he be bad news?

Wait why am I even panicking, I only just met him yesterday.

Ugh so much for not getting attention.

" Why are they bad news may I ask?"

"Nothing you need to know right now at this moment ok"

Nothing I need to know right now?? This conversation was starting to get clouded with an atmosphere of awkward silence.

"Wait so why did I not see him last year?"

"He had a family business trip to attend to in Italy"

"Oh ok"

"Erm, so I have you heard from Aaliyah... She didn't come to school yesterday" I finally spoke

"To be honest I haven't. That's weird" she replied.

"That's funny I missed her call yesterday morning and when I called her back she didn't pick"

"I don't know what's wrong with her, she is never serious"
We both began to laugh until our stomachs churn upside down.

"Anywayss, how do you wanna celebrate your birthday?"

My birthday! I completely forgot. You see ever since my mother died I never really wanted to celebrate my birthday because I share the same day with my mother. However, I did promise Raven that I'd do something for my 21st birthday.

"So what are you planning on doing? A part-????"

"Nooo!" I interrupted. I didn't want anything big.

"ok then also have you found an apartment that you like?"

Yes, I decided that it was time for me to move out, not because of anything but I would just like my own space you know. I have been living with the Clark family for the past 12 years. My father placed a huge amount of money in my bank account when I left. I haven't spoken to him since. He is always unreachable and he doesn't even call to check up on me or even on my birthday.

Sometimes i feel like the only reason he sent me here was to get rid of me. I try to convince myself that that is not the case, I mean he does have  a big mafia cooperation and he is a very busy man. No that's still no reason not to check up on your only daughter for the past 12 years.

I have learned to get over it I mean I have Mr. and Mrs. Clark who support me In every way. They are the mother and father figure I have in my life right now. Even though they are not my birth parents and still see them as that.
