Chapter 4

Skylar's POV

"Ok but first I want to show my sister my girlfriend" those words stuck in my head

I had to somehow prove Piper, Daughter of Aphrodite, was not who she said she was.

She might not be a spy but she differently didn't seem right. I have to protect this ship. It's my duty to.

"Ok Jason" I let out a inside sigh. We walked over to another area of the huge ship. I was never good with ships. But I knew they weren't supposed to land in the forest.

As soon as I saw Piper I knew exactly why she fooled Jason. She had a long braid, light brown. She was acting like she was debating her importance. I thought Good, notice that you won't fool me

Then something weirdly grew heavy in my coat pocket. I reached in only to wince in pain. I knew exactly what it was. It was the pure gold coin I was given as a child. The one that held me to my past and one person. It was the gift of friendship given to me by Octavian. I pulled it out, it's engraving shined in the mid day sun

"What's that?" Leo asked gesturing to the coin. I didn't know what to say. If I said what it was I would talk about Octavian. And then they'd think I was a traitor. The past few dreams I have had weren't that reassuring either. In what I saw Octavian was going to attack Camp Half Blood. And if he did that would mean he destroys half of me. I don't know how but I am a rare case, a case that they won't know what to do with.

"It's a... um... a.." I fumbled saying the words, trying to grasp on to any thought that would help get me out of this mess.

"It's a gift from my father" I just came up with the most believable lie

"Then what does it say?"

"Why do you want to know!" He was getting on my nerve now

"Because I am interested" He better be talking about the coin not me

"Fine. It says 'When Rome's In Ruins" Guess I couldn't lie about that

"What's that supposed to mean? Like is it a secret weapon that when Rome is falling it uses it's power?" We stopped. I h I forgot to ell stared angrily at Leo

"No! It's just a memory" That part want a lie

"Ok, didn't have to get sassy" Leo you are just about the most annoying person ever.

"Hey Piper! Wanna meet the new girl?" Jason yelled out to Piper who was now walking over to me and Leo

"Oh... Yes! Oh course!" She had just arrived

"So Piper meet my sister" Jason said to Piper grabbing me by his side "She is a..." I forgot to tell Jason about my Greek/Roman sides "What are you anyways Skylar? Greek or Roman?"

"Well... Um...." I started, fumbling through the words having not experienced talking in front of so many people

"Why Jason, you sister Skylar is both!" Leo stated laughing. I elbowed him again "Ow!"

"Uh..." Jason mumbled, obviously at a loss of words, which he wasn't often "Ok apparently both" He slowly pushed me away. That broke my heart. How could I possibly tell him his girlfriend wasn't one of the seven?

"Hello nice to meet my brothers girlfriend" I said with manners like I learned when I was small

"Same" She replied

"Who do we have here?" A boy emerged from the shadows. He was the same boy I saw on the mast, the one who looked familiar... "Do I know you?" He was asking me...

"Um..." The thing was I did know him

"How could you? Skylar was in Tartarus!" Leo blurted out

"Tartarus... Yes..." He started. I did the best thing I could do. I shot the son of Hades a look that said 'Not now' "Oh the thought slipped my mind" Thank you "Nice to meet you Skylar"

"Nice to meet you too..." I forgot I couldn't say his name

"Nico" He just saved my life

"Nice to meet you Nico" Then I gave him one last look 'Thank you, talk later, it's been a while' before he walked off

"Interesting, now you were saying?" Piper had a look on her face. The face of determination

Sorry it took forever to wrote this chapter

I'm sick and I've been planning some other books (You'd know if you've seen my lasted post)

So I will try and make this next chapter faster
