The story of Skylar Grace

Chapter 1

Leo's POV

The rest of seven were traveling on their flying boat, flying to the house of Hades to save their friends, when they heard a loud boom in the forest below. Then they heard a yelp and scream. "What is that?" Piper screamed. "Wanna check it out?" Leo suggested. Jason gave a nod and said "Why not?".

"What if it's dangerous?" Hazel added.

"Dangerous? Ha! That's my middle name! Leo Dangerous Valdez!".

"Well, what if it's just a bear? Like what if it's just a normal, everyday thing?" Frank asked. Then suddenly, with perfect timing, a very un-bear like growl came from where the scream had came from. It sounded more like a monster.

"Think that's a bear?" Leo said sarcastically.

"Well, um... no." Frank replied. "Well then what are we waiting for? Let's go!" Leo said. They all went to the front of the ship while Leo grabbed his wii remote controller and swung down. The ship began to decrease speed and descend downward.

As they got closer the scream became clearer. Leo was sure that it was a young girl, about age 14, screaming "Help! Someone! Help me!"

Then they saw the scene. Leo was right, it was a girl, screaming as she swung her sword at a full grown hell hound. Leo knew for sure she was a Demi-god. Why would a mortal have a sword and be attacking a hell hound?

They landed about 200 yards from the girl. He knew the girl would probably not last much longer and get pinned down by the monster. They needed to act quick.

Frank could shoot the hell hound with his bow, but he had a chance of hitting the girl. That option was out. They could all charge with swords. Leo had never been good with swords though. That was out too. Maybe Leo could use one of his Archimedes spheres to attack the monster. Bingo. Leo ran to his cabin, grabbed one of them, and ran back outside. He told Frank, Hazel, Nico, Piper and Jason the plan. They were all that were left after Percy and Annabeth fell into Tartarus. Their two best Demi-gods.

Jason was to attract the hell hound by striking lightning and Frank was to help, while Hazel, Piper, Leo, and Nico ran and got the girl. After Jason brought the monster away from them, Leo would unleash his sphere. Then the sphere would finish the hell hound and hopefully not hurt Jason while doing it. The plan had to work. "Ok, in 3... 2... 1... GO!"

They charged the beast. They immediately got it's attention. Jason called a storm and lightning began to strike. Then Jason did his next job, run away from them and have the monster follow him. Frank had turn into a hawk and flew nearby. The hell hound, of corse, followed. Good, now Leo had to set up the sphere. Ok done. Bad part when the hell hound leapt toward Jason, he knocked the girl into a tree and she crumbled to the ground. Probably out of breath and on the brink of passing out. The sphere chased after the monster ready to attack. Besides that the girl was out of it, they were doing ok.

Now the next part. Leo, Nico, and Hazel ran toward the girl. She had a bad scrape on her arms and a large cut on her head. The girl had dirty blonde hair with a hint of red-ginger. It was just passed her shoulder. She had a slight tan. Her clothes were torn from the fight with the hell hound. She wore a grey t-shirt and black leggings. She also had a grey hoodie on. Hazel tried to wake her up. No good she was out cold.

"She is very weak. We'll have to carry her." Hazel said. "Ok all at once.". The 4 of them lifted up her and slowly walked back to the Argo II. It took a couple of minutes, but they made their way on board. They took her in the cabins on a soft bed, where she could rest.

They left her there and went up on deck. There was Jason walking back to the ship as the sphere flew nearby along with Frank. As Frank turned back into a human, Piper asked Jason what happened and Jason told how the sphere really helped and that the plan went great. As they started to lift off they heard a faint groan.

"Oh yea, the girl..." Leo said "What are we going to do with her?". Jason replied "We find out who she is, why she is in Rome, is she Greek or Roman, and if she can help.". "Sounds simple enough." Leo chipped in. They all headed down stairs to the cabin they put her in.

"Who is going in?" Hazel asked. "I'll go." Leo answered "So I just ask her a few questions?". "Yes." Jason replied. Leo stepped in the door and closed it slowly.

"Who are you? Where am I?" The girl asked.

"I am Leo Valdez, son of Hephaestus. And you are?".

"I am Skylar Grace. Daughter of Zeus and Jupiter."
