I shoved a white T-shirt and some light blue denim shorts into my bag. I grabbed my pyjamas and my tooth brush. I grabbed everything else and filled my bag.I changed into a sweatshirt as Greta spilled food all over my other one. I quickly picked up my sleeping bag and a pillow. Before I went to Bills I grabbed my walkie and switched to channel 28.
"Bev. Do you copy?" I asked
"Yeah I copy. Are you at Bills?" She asked
"No I'm going over there now. I'll ring you tomorrow morning okay?" I asked
"Sure. And then tomorrow morning you can tell me what happened today at lunch." She said whilst laughing. I switched my radio off, grabbed my sleeping bag and ran over to Bills house.

I walked inside without knocking. I walked into the kitchen quietly to see what they were talking about.

"n-no. I c-can't, she d-doesn't like me back." I heard Bill say. I quickly ran inside and scared them.
They all jumped. I was laughing so much.
"Holy shit y/n, you scared the life out of me." Richie said. Everyone laughed. I walked over to bill and put my arm around his shoulder.
"so, who do you like?" I asked
His face went red.
"Umm n-nobody." Bill said quickly
"You were just talking about a girl Bill. Who is it. I promise I won't say anything." I said.
"I'll tell you!" Richie said
"No Richie. P-please d-don't." Bill said
"He likes..." Richie said "Eddie's mom!"
"What the fuck. Your obsessed with her dude and it's weird." Eddie said.

We all sat in the living room. It was getting late and we were all pretty tired from school.
"Does your hand hurt?" Stanley asked me
"Um. Not really." I said. My knuckles were bruised.
Bill grabbed my hand and looked at it.
"T-that's gotta h-hurt. Do you want some I-ice." Bill asked as he smiled at me.
"It's fine. It doesn't even hurt anyway, and I don't regret doing it." I said.
"It was so cool! Did you see her face?" Eddie said
"Yeah we all saw her face. She looked mad though." Stanley said.
"So what are we all gonna do tomorrow?" I asked
"Um. The quarry?" Richie asked
"Yeah that's fine." I said.
As soon as i said that it hit me that I was on my period. If I was to go swimming I would have to wear a tampon. I didn't realise but I was pulling a disgusted face. Everyone was staring at me.
"Jesus. What was that face all about?" Eddie asked
"Oh. It doesn't matter." I said.
Bill stood up and put some music on. We all got up and started dancing. I raced to my bag to get my Polaroid camera out. We took lots of photos and used up all of the film. The photos were brilliant.
We would always remember nights like these.
That's why I loved having sleepovers with the boys.
"y/n? W-wanna d-dance?" Bill asked me
I stood up and danced with him. Everyone looked up and stared at me and bill. I had feelings for bill. I had liked him for years. When I heard him talking about how a girl didn't like him back, my heart literally broke. But I had to stay strong. Billy is my best friend. I want us to be together but if he doesn't want that then he doesn't want that. I had to smile when I walked into that kitchen because I don't want them to know I like Bill. It could ruin our friendship. That's why I had to keep it a secret. Me and bill stopped dancing and we all went up to his room.
We all laid out our sleeping bags and pillows.

"Night guys." Stan said.
"Night Stanley." I said to him.
"Do you want me to tuck you in young boy?" Richie said in a weird British accent. We all laughed.
"What no!" Stanley said.
Everyone else had fallen asleep. I couldn't sleep.
I sat up and looked through the photos we took. I smiled at one. Richie was hugging Eddie. Eddie was trying to hit Stan. Stan was the one who was taking the photo, he had a huge smile on his face. Bill was giving me a piggy back and we both pulled funny faces. I was gonna definitely keep this one forever.
Suddenly I heard a voice. It scared the life out of me.
"you o-okay?" Bill asked
"yeah. jeez bill you scared the shit out of me." I said
We both laughed. We had to be quiet so we wouldn't wake the three sleeping beauties up.
"what are y-you d-doing up? It's 6am!" Bill said
"what! I thought it was 3!" I said
"Wait h-have y-you had any sleep?" He asked
"No!" I said as I laughed. I laughed a little too loud and I woke Richie up.
"Lovebirds can you shut up." He said
"Beep beep Richie!" Stan said
"Morning guys!" Eddie said as he stood up.
"Morning. How did you sleep?" I asked
"Very good surprisingly." Eddie said
"Oh yeah W-well y/n h-had the best sleep." Bill said
"Yeah totally." I said sarcastically
"Wait did you even go to sleep?" Richie asked
I shook my head. We all laughed as we walked downstairs. We ate cereal in the kitchen. We all got dressed and ready. I shoved my hair up into a messy bun as we were going to the quarry.
"Guys?" I said
"Yeah." Stan said
"Can Beverly come to the quarry with us?" I asked
"Sure." Eddie said.
"Great. I'll go ring her now!" I said as I grabbed my things and ran home. I got changed into my swimsuit and then put my clothes back on.
I dialled Bevs number.
"Hello. It's y/n!" I said
"Woah why are you in such a good mood?" Bev asked me.
"Because your coming to the quarry with me and the boys!" I said excitedly.
"Great. I'll meet you there at 9." She said before hanging up. It was 8:45am. I ran back to Bills house and we set off. We rode there. Bev wasn't there yet.

"Are you sure she's coming?" Richie asked
"Yes. She'll be here soon." I snapped back to him.
