Siren's song

The pair snuck out late at night, when the compounds lights had been turned off and the doors locked and secured. Bakugou led Kirishima down to the hatch at the bottom floor, moving swiftly so Kirishima wouldn't dry out.

When Katsuki lifted the hatch, the shimmering reflection of the water bounced off his pale skin, making him illuminated and transfixed to the rippling water inches from his face. He took a deep breath and allowed himself to fall into the ocean.

After a few seconds, his eyes adjusted to the dark light, his fins and tail grew and he was left simply floating in the water, humming to himself. Kirishima followed soon after, staring intently at the mix of orange, red and yellow sunk deep into the newly grown fins of his mate. He silently watched, not daring to move for fear of breaking whatever fragile thing was happening to Katsuki.

Neither breaks the tentative silence between them, for a while, they simply be.

No thinking, no worrying, no noise. Just the calm glide of the water over their scales and the knowledge that they are with one another.

Katsuki's low humming picks up a soft tune that somehow matches the flow of the water, It was like a siren's call, drawing Kirishima closer, the sound echoed through the ocean, filling Eijirou's ears with the sweet song his mate produced. His muscles involuntarily relaxed, his mind fogged and when Katsuki finally turned to look at him, his eyes were a bright red, luminescent almost.

He couldn't speak, or think, it's like he was stuck in place, at the call of whatever this song was. It was like his mind was in two different places, one aware that he could not move and the other too calmed to mind or try and understand it.

Katsuki started singing, in an old forgotten language Eijirou didn't recognise at first. He repeated it twice before his eyes closed and he stopped singing, returning to his humming.

Kirishima suddenly remembered the language, it was Atlantean, he could roughly translate it to: 'stay with me, while you sleep, dreaming of me, ill be keeping your memories'

Now he knew something was definitely wrong, he snapped out of the haze Katsuki kept him in and swam closer, shaking his body to wake the mer-man.

Bakugou violently thrashed around despite Kirishima's hands trying to keep him still, his body reacted like it was being suffocated, twitching and fighting away invisible hands. Suddenly, everything stilled. A small, blue orb of light slowly emerged from Katsuki's mouth and floated to the surface, out of sight.

Bakugou breathed out, like a weight had been lifted from his chest and opened his eyes again, only this time, they were back to his normal red.

"B-Bakugou?" Kirishima weakly said, gently holding his lover.

"Yes?" He looked dazed.

"What happened to you?"

"I don't know."

Waiting for the day, When we will be together again, carry me to my love, over the sea, to the clouds above.
