As Xanthie helped Molly in the kitchen -a new habit she'd picked up since being here- she finished off the last of her glass from dinner so she could wash it and put it away. As she drained the small glass of Arthurs homemade mead, she felt a slightly warm tingle course through her as the alcohol seeped in which only got her more excited for the evening ahead.

"Molly, Arthurs mead is so good! Whenever he comes back from work, will you please ask him to teach me? Remus and Sirius would love it." Xan bubbled, putting the now clean glass away in a cupboard, only just reaching on her tiptoes. Molly turned to look at Xan with a puzzled look on her face.

"Isn't it wonderful? When did you try it?" She asked, a lopsided smile on her rounded face as she threw her dish towel over her shoulder. Xan giggled and shook her head, turning to look at Molly.

"At dinner, the past three evenings, we've all been drinking it."

"Dear, I don't know if Arthur has made a new batch of mead. Freddie has been going on about it non-stop when he's been pouring us water." Molly said, approaching Xan and looking at her with a look between concern and confusion. Xan furrowed her eyebrows at Molly, now growing confused herself.

"Water? What I had at dinner was definitely not water." She responded, lowering her own dish towel to the counter.

If it wasn't mead she was drinking, what was it? It tasted like mead, gave the same effects as alcohol, making Xan feel warm and tingly, clouding her brain ever so slightly. Molly narrowed her eyes and looked back into the dining room where everyone else sat around the table chatting amongst themselves.

"Maybe ask Fred, he's been in charge of drinks." She said softly, laying a hand on Xans shoulder. Xanthie only nodded as she felt a slow anger beginning to course through her veins at the thought of having to speak to him, especially with George mirroring his every move. Pushing the temper aside, Xanthie left the kitchen and approached the twins, standing behind their chairs and looking between the two boys. She noticed that in their hands were small vials of different liquids that they were exchanging between each other, some sparkling and bubbling and others changing colours.

"I'll take that." Xan taunted, pulling a pink vial quickly from Georges hand as he went to pass it to Fred. Both of their heads whipped round to face her with angered looks on their faces.

"Give it back, LeStrange. It's for the shop." George said and went to reach for the small glass in Xanthies hand. Xanthie clasped the vial in her now completely closed palm and took a few steps back, buying herself a few seconds to read the label that was messily applied to it.

'Cupids Liquor.

For afflictions of the heart and ensnaring of the soul,

Mix one drop with any beverage of choice for an undetectable, alcoholic taste.

Caution! Effects are instant and may become stronger with continued use.'

Xans face scrunched up in confusion as she read the scribble, the two boys now standing over her exchanging glances at one another.

"What the fuck is this? Having lady problems boys?" Xan asked and quirked an eyebrow at the two of them, holding the small vial still in her fingers. It was sparkling and pink, very alluring.
