-Ein getting used to the world,,,,,
-he has no clue what is going on half the time
-the fuck is a creeper????
-he found out the hard way
-its really funny for Tommy actually
-"You can 1v1 demolish Dream and you don't know how to make a wooden sword???"
-it's also super confusing
-but Tommy gets to feel like the smart one for once
-bcz despite popular belief, he actually is really smart
-anyway
-They settle pretty close to a village so that Ein can get all the emeralds he needs to make super OP potions, and so that Tommy feels less isolated
-Ein suggested asking the villagers for help with a house, but Tommy was like,,,,
-"We can do that ourselves big man, I'm superb at architecture"
-he also did not pronounce architecture correctly the first try, and Ein wasn't sure if it was on purpose or not
-anyway
-Tommy tells Ein his favorite block is Cobblestone, and Ein is just like,,,?????
-he doesn't have a favorite block, and he's not sure why someone would have one, but he's trying to be supportive so he asks what they should build out of it
-Tommys eyes light up
-"Intimidation tower!!"
-so uh,,,that's where they live.
-Ein tried building a house, but it just,,,,it was so shoddily done that they were both like,,,
-"yeah, let's just live in the tower"
-Ein goes hunting and stuff, gathering supplies, anything that involves combat or brute strength really
-there's not much to do with his tactical abilities in the middle of nowhere
-when Tommy has his first nightmare, Ein panics
-he really doesn't know what to do, so he wakes him up by shaking him, and when Tommy is half asleep, cuddling into him, Ein melts
-He feels super bad, and has to stop himself from trying to hunt down Dream and kill him again
-the guy smothers Tommy in blankets and just tries to be there
-Ein isn't super good with emotions, but he was pretty much abandoned as a kid, and he didn't have anyone to comfort him, so he does his best to tell Tommy that he's not leaving
-if Tommy wants to pretend that that never happened in the morning, Ein lets him
-he won't bring it up
-Tommy explains the communicators, and achievements and the 3 lives thing, and Ein sits through it, letting Tommy talk
-in fact, Tommy notices that Ein lets him talk as much as he wants
-he never tells Tommy to shut up like Dream would, or interupt him, or treat it like it's stupid
-for someone so intimidating, Ein is surprisingly patient
-(it's cuz he's like,,,,"oh shit,,,,no one taught this kid that he's worth listening to)
-the first time Tommy stops talking mid-point and glances at Ein as if he would hit him, Ein has to stop what he's doing
-this kid just,,,,,,,looked at Ein like all those people back at Starlight did,,,,and Ein feels a little sick????
-still,,,he realizes that he needs to put his feelings aside for a moment
-he's not pushing that shit onto a 16 year old
-so he just glances at Tommy and tells him,,
-"Go on, that's pretty interesting"
-and Tommy bounces back
-honestly, the kid reminds him a bit of Blaze
-just,,,,super strong willed
-Tommy waits for the day that Ein will snap and tell him to shut up and that he doesn't care, but it never comes
-the man is just,,,,,,so infuriatingly patient
-Ein on the other hand,,,
-really likes when Tommy talks
-it reminds him that he can be a good person, even after everything he did,,,,and it helps that Tommy is actually really funny
-bonus,,,
-Tommy asks Ein his favorite woman
-Ein just,,,,stops working,,,,,,
-who is his favorite woman???
-he doesn't have one, and Tommy is scandalized
-Eins like,,,
-"maybe I'd have one if i spent more time talking to people and less time being controlled by a demon but y'know"
-he doesn't really tell Tommy that though,,,,
-he's trynna keep his trauma on the down low so he can focus on the kids issues first
