John's POV
I took Mel to her job interview. It was for a job as an English teacher at a primary school. When we got there we went straight to the main office and asked the receptionist where to go.
"Hi. Excuse me but I'm here for a job interview for the new English teacher." Mel said awkwardly.
"Umm. Sure can I have your name?" The lady asked her.
"Melissa Watson."
"Okay go take a seat over there and I'll call you up when you can go in."
Mel and I went and sat down and Mel started to tap a rhythm on her knee.
Mel's POV
I was nervous when we sat down I started tapping on my knees. When I got called up I stood up and went into the office where I was going to get interviewed.
"Hello Melissa. My name is Rosella Pearce. But you can call me Rose." The nice lady said smiling. She motioned for me to sit on the chair across from liher.
I sat down and took off my coat and sat it on my lap.
"You can call me Mel if you wold like to." I said smiling out of nerves.
"Okay let's have a look at your strengths. You have a major in English, Sociology, History and Physics. That is quite impressive. You have written some shows that have been on Broadway. And you have recently moved back to London." She said with an impressed look on her face.
"Well the only reason that I had written those shows are because I moved to Manhattan to be with my ex-fiancé."
"Oh well I'm sorry for that fact about your ex-fiancé. Anyway I was going to say your weaknesses, but you don't really have any."
I smiled proud of myself.
"You have the job." She said then added, "I think that we will be great friends."
"I think we will as well. And thank you so much!" I said with a huge grin plastered on my face. She said that I could leave and I put a sad look on my face before I walked out the door.
When I walked out I saw John and walked over to him.
"How did it go?" He asked.
"I don't want to talk about it." I answered walking outside and started to walk towards the flat.
Sherlock's POV
I heard the flat door open but I just kept playing my violin. I turned around to find Mel there with a sad look on her face. Wait why did I call her Mel? It must be because I've heard John call her that the whole time that she's been here.
"Congratulations on getting the job." I said.
"I didn't get it." She said with tears in her eyes.
"Oh well I'm sorry."
"Oh my god, I tricked you! I knew that I could trick John easily but I wasn't so sure about you!" She said laughing.
John came into the living room and looked at his sister in surprise.
"What's going on?" He asked.
"Apparently we've been tricked, and she got the job." I answered shocked that she tricked me.
Mel kept laughing and went up stairs to get changed.
