About Heather Dixon : Heather met Merle Dixon the night Jacob had forced her and Violet on a blind date. She however didn't start dating Merle until later in the plot.
Heather was dating Colin, who was extremely abusive physically and mentally to her. The Dixons and Violet had ended up helping her make it through the situation and kept the two apart.
Heather stayed with Violet and the twins for majority of the story. In turn the woman even lost her leg from being bit from a zombie. Violet had hacked her leg off in order to save her best friend/sister.
Heather never got to see Merle after the apocalypse started, to say goodbye, or that she loved him.
After Violet died, Heather took it upon herself to help raise Daryl and Violets son.
