~Nagitos POV~

I woke up to a small pressure on my chest. I open my eye only to be blinded by the sunlight shining through my bedroom window. When I adjusted to the light I finally looked down. There was Hajime asleep on top of me. I smile and chuckle at how cute he is. His eyes fluttered open. "Morning Nagito!" he said in a cheery but low husky voice. "Good morning Hajime!" I replied. We got up and got dressed. He had to borrow my clothes because he didn't want to go into his apartment last night. The Realization that I was about to get beat to shit by Izuru hit me like a fucking bus. Whatever, I cant avoid it. Hajime insisted on switching my bandages for me. We walked out of the house and decided on where to go for breakfast.

"How about there!" He pointed at a small Coffee shop.

" Sure!" We walked side by side into the tiny building.

We sat down and talked about whatever came to mind. His laugh was so sweet and soft. The waiter came with our drinks. We talked more and had fun.

However the morning went by to fast.

The next thing I knew I was standing in front of Hajimes front door. He took a deep breath before unlocking the door. We opened it to see Izuru on the couch in front of us. He sat there eyes closed, legs apart, elbows resting on knees, and fingers intertwined. His crimson eyes opened slowly. They weren't looking at Hajime. They were staring at me. He stood up slowly. "Izuru wait please-" Hajime tried to speak. It was to late Izuru had grabbed my throat and held me against the door. I looked up at him and smiled. "Is that really all you got?" I asked in a mocking tone. I glanced at Hajime who just looked at me like I was crazy. "What did you do to him?" He asked calmly. "Nothing." I mumbled annoyed. He pulled me from the door before quickly slamming me back into it, causing me to hit my head hard. "BULLSHIT!" He yelled. Hajime looked petrified. I smiled softly at him before turning back to his enraged older brother. This didn't bother me. I'm use to it. "WHERE THE FUCK WAS HE LAST NIGHT?!?!" He yelled at me. "MY HOUSE, BUT I DIDNT DO ANYTHING!" I screamed back. " THEN WHAT DID YOU DO TO HIM!?" Hajime had a fierce look in his eyes when his brother said that. "IZURU KAMAKURA PUT HIM THE FUCK DOWN!" Hajime yelled from behind Izuru. Izuru complied, not taking his eyes off me.  I rubbed at my throat coughing slightly. Izuru glared at me before walking outside onto the deck. "Hajime are you okay?" I ask. "Am I okay? Nagito you were just choked by my brother!" He almost yelled. "Hehe kinky." I joked laughing. Hajime rolled his eyes. "But seriously I'm fine. I'm just worried about you." I said. Hajime only sighed in response. He slowly made his way over to me. I looked down at him confused before I felt his arms wrap around my waist. His head was luckily resting on my shoulder so he couldn't see me being a blushing mess. I hugged him back. I didn't care if Izuru saw me. I already knew what he would've done.

Hajime is only about 3-4 inches shorter than me so there isn't a huge height difference but it was still noticeable.

Not wanting Hajime to get in to much trouble with Izuru, I pulled away and looked at him. " I should probably go..." I sounded more quiet than I meant to. He nodded as he averted his eyes to the ground. I turned to the door and walked out without another word.

The walk home was filled with guilt. What if Izuru hurts Hajime? But he seems to protective to harm him physically. I walked past an arcade and noticed a familiar face. Chiaki Nanami.  The ultimate gamer noticed me and made her way over, smiling. "Hi Nagito!" she greeted while letting out a small yawn. "Hello Nanami-san!" I said as I bowed "Nagito I don't want to repeat myself from last time we talked. You can call me Chiaki! We have been friends for years." She sighed. "Yes Nan- Chiaki!" I agreed apologetically. " Though I feel as you shouldn't think of trash like me as a friend. More like a servant." I laughed while holding my arms. "In the name of hope, I am just a stepping stone for others to succeed! I have excepted my fait as a mere tool." I said as I began to drool at the thought of hope. Chiaki rolled her eyes and laughed. "You are not a servant Nagito. You do need to stop thinking so lowly of yourself." just as she finished a purple haired girl walked out of the store next to us. "O-OH K-KOMAEDA-KUN U-Uh h-how are y-your n-new m-medications w-working? She asked "Oh they are working well! But you don't need to worry about-" I was cut off by Nanami-san glaring at me. "I-I a-am glad t-to h-hear that!" She responded shyly, ignoring the last sentence. "Well ima go finish this level on Tetris! See ya later Nagito!" Chiaki said as she waved and entered the arcade. "I should probably go to." I said to the shorter girl in front of me. She nodded and continued down the sidewalk. I finished walking to my home.

I made it to my house and final walked in. I'm so tired. I didn't really care about how the fight affected me. I'm worried about Hajime though. I know I definitely have feelings for him but we only just met. Plus why would he ever like trash like me. I slipped my shoes off and walked to my bathroom. Hajime helped me so much. I glanced at the trashcan were the wrappers and remains of the bandages he had applied to my arm. The moment we shared here was still fresh in my mind despite what has happened since. Its surprising that he can actual stand me. I walk sluggishly to my room before immediately passing out on my bed.
