(Zach Pov)

Zach:"Ugh shut...up!!"

I groaned as I slammed my hand against my alarm clock with an audible thump and groggily got up from my bed.

Zach: *sigh* well let's get started

I hopped off my bed and went straight to the bathroom, I looked in the mirror to see my reflection;My red eyes staring back at me.

And my dark long hair messy, that being said first thing to do is brush it out and tied it in a ponytail.

Zach: "there we go...still a bit messy but better than earlier"

As soon as finished brushing my teeth and all that, I went to my closet and grabbed my hoodie and jeans and slipped them on and grabbed my shoes after.

When I was done, I stood in front of my bedroom mirror and looked at my getup.



Zach: "Alright, this is better"

Just then I heard a voice through my door, it was my little sister.

Emma: "Zach come on hurry, or you'll be late you dumdum"

At that, I grabbed my headphones and backpack and swung open my door and scooped up my sister

Zach: "who are you calling a dumdum, Emma?"

She just laughs as we both went downstairs to the living room where I dropped her on the couch, causing Emma to giggle more.

Zach: "alright guys, I'm off, wish me luck!"

I said as I walked out the door and headed off to zpa, I could Faintly hear my mom and dad wish me luck, my sister especially.

When I was walking my way down to school, I connected my headphones to my phone and scrolled through a couple of my favorite songs.

Little did I know that I bumped into someone like an idiot...

Zach: "oh-sorry, I wasn't paying attention"

I let out an awkward giggle while scratching the back of my head with slight embarrassment.

???: "oh it's no worries, no harm done, so ya new here or..."

I perked up and now looked who exactly who I was talking too

I looked up to see that I was talking to a brown and tan Anthropomorphic kangaroo girl with large blue eyes... Furthermore, I also noticed she looked at me curiously, still waiting for a response from me.

Zach: "uh...*ahem* yeah I guess you can say I'm  new here, my family moved from another district. E city to be exact"

We continued to walk to our school when she started asking me questions on the way there

???: "E! City eh? What was it like, I've always wanted to visit"

Zach:*sigh* "well...the city itself was alright,, but I think what killed it for me was the people. Don't get me wrong, some guys we're pretty cool to talk to, it's just that a large majority are either stuck up or just huge jerks"

???: "oh well, that's a shame, but hey you don't have to worry about any of that here"

I let out a chuckle

Zach: "well, I guess you're the first person to prove that, then".

We both made it to the front of the school the letters ZPA shined in bright gold in front of a huge dome like nature themed building, I was stunned.

???: "well here we are zoopheonix academy"

Zach: "...this place is way bigger than originally thought..."

???: "yeah you'll get used to it eventually oh, hey I see my friends over there, I'll see ya around"

She pats my shoulder as she hopped off to her group

Zach: "huh? Wait, I didn't catch your...name...and she's gone *sigh*...well, let's see where this is headed"

After calming down a little, I pushed open the doors to the next four years of my life...
