It was now the following day, once again, and Nishikata couldn't help but smile as he walked the halls after school; his idea seemed ingenious, and the fact that Takagawa thought so as well definitely made him worry less. "NISHIKATA!" Takagawa called as she caught up to him. "Did you remember the binder?"
He opened his bag and pulled out a black binder. "Did you get an email from all of her friends?"
"Mostly, some gave me a flash drive, and others printed it out themselves. But I do have to say, structuring it like a homework assignment, might not have been the best idea."
"It was all I could come up with." Nishikata replied. "I just hope it helps, I mean she's not allowed to see them at all until she gets out so ... this was all I could think of."
"I'm sure it will help, but do you have enough money for the colored printer? There's no way a teacher is going to give you a pass to use up colored ink for something like this."
"You say that, but Mr. Tanabe gave me permission, so long as I don't go over ten."
Takagawa stopped in her tracks. "Are you serious?"
"It's helping a classmate, and he's a lot nicer than people give him credit for."
"I never thought I'd hear that from you of all people."
"I never thought I'd hear that from me either."
"Well, it's a good thing he said ten, taking off everyone who said they'd print it out themselves, I think there's exactly ten left."
As they made their way down the hall, they were eventually confronted by an overly excited Mina who ran up to them holding an envelope of some kind. "HEY! Nishikat!" She called out.
"Huh?"
She reached them and stopped to take a few breaths. "I ... wanted to give you this." She said as she handed him the envelope.
"Um ... what is it?" He asked as he took the envelope.
"Isn't it obvious?" Mina asked. "It's what you asked for yesterday, Yukari helped me and Sanae make ours."
Nishikata looked to Takagawa. "You told them it was my idea?"
"You didn't tell me not to."
Nishikata sighed as he accepted the envelope from Mina. "I suppose."
"Anyway, thank you for the idea, I can't wait to see Takagi again, can you tell her that we all miss her?"
"No problem." Nishikata replied.
"Thank you!" Mina said before running off.
They continued making their way to the computer lab, where Takagawa loaded up a computer and began logging in. "Okay, I'm printing them out now, just go over to the machine and use the printer card."
"On it." He walked over to the collared printer and printed out all ten pieces of paper before punching three holes in them and placing all the papers into the binder. "And that should do it." He walked over to Takagawa and handed her the binder.
"Huh?"
"I think you should give it to her."
"But it was your idea."
"Maybe, but I'm not so sure too many girls would feel comfortable if I kept this on me."
Takagawa thought to herself for a moment before shrugging. "If you say so." She placed it in her bag and logged off the computer. "So, shall we go?"
"Let's."
The two of them began making their way out of the school, and subsequently to the convenience store. "So, do you think she'll like it?" Nishikata asked as he and Takagawa got what they came for.
