"At that moment, everything stopped.

This goodbye had somehow fit her usual style

a diminishing hope that will last for a while

Hope is a fickle thing, isn't it?

A Hope that fills someone's whole being until they can't breathe.

A hope that could finally have that one longing breath

And the temptation to seep one's being into that breath

She felt the smoke between his lips,

breathing into her own

Their hesitant sighs continued to

make a soothing crescendo of noise between the two

Like they were the only ones in the world

Why, if only that were the reality...

But her luck got the best of her

for she didn't know that her thoughts of capturing him

had only kept him farther away

Out of arm's reach."

- Backstage

Out of all places, why did she have to be stuck in a world filled with hopeless romantics? Although Amelia hated the premise of this world's story, the girl continued to scan and analyze the book with a maniacal intensity. The writing was dreadful, but for some reason, she could not stop reading. It was like watching those soap operas with a mixture of cheesy dialogue and random plot twists that leave her wanting more.

"This book is pathetic."

"How so?"

"She is still hoping for something that would never happen. Why would she still love him if she knows that there's no- wait, who are you?"

Amelia was minding her own business in the library until a stranger with a baseball cap and a mask sat next to her.

Yes, her bench.

"Nobody important"

She sighed at his stupid answer.
Great, Another Person

If this were her ideal world, she would be able to push him off the bench and kick his ass out of the class. After she entered the university, she had to deal with a multitude of classes that went over her head, and now someone was invading her own space. It felt impossible to continue studying the book, so she tucked it away as if it were never there, and she pulled out papers for her other classes.

"Oh, did I intrude?" through his sunglasses she saw that the the blue-eyed freak dared to feign ignorance.

She rolled her eyes and gave a wry smile

"Oh, you could never...in fact, I'm very focused on my studies."

"Oh, thank god! I thought I might be intruding on" he looked at her handwriting, "strategies to remov-" she took her hands to cover his mouth, face flushed with embarrassment.

"You sound like a joy to be around." Sarcasm dripped from her lips. How can somebody be so shameless? He took her hands off his face, amused by her behavior.

Great, he held her wrist hostage.

"I am certainly glad you agree, darling..."

As she was face-to-face with this man, she stopped for a second, flipping through Amelia's memories.
