Today mother and father told me that they will be going on an important business trip to the capital. They plan to leave near the start of the next month before winter begins, and will come back sometime before the start of spring. This is their longest business trip, so it must be very important for them.
But since they're going to be gone for a long time, they told me that they will celebrate my 11th birthday before their departure! I am really excited! Not only will we be able to celebrate my birthday before they travel, but also I don't need to wait so long for my gifts from everyone! Lori was really jealous when Father spoke to everyone about it during dinner today. She tried to convince Aunt Mal to celebrate her birthday early as well. At first she ignored her, but then she scolded Lori when she didn't stop. I know it was very rude of me, but I couldn't help but giggle.
