Chapter 7

Darius p.o.v

I looked at my mate as she went with John. Why? I keep asking myself as anger was the only emotion I felt. Although my mate looked extravagant with her long white hair, which was unusual but it made her eyes stand out. I looked  towards her as she bumped into the frame of the former alpha's picture which made me growl.

I was about to walk towards her when John came to her aid immediately, he was  concerned. My wolf growled at the thought of John taking care of my mate. Ares wants mate  my wolf said. I ignored him and looked towards my mate and John exchanging words. I found out that her name was Lily, what a beautiful yet common name, it does suit her. I then saw the most beautiful and breathtakingly smile I've ever seen form on my mates lips but not for me but for John, which made me and especially my wolf furious as to why she smiled at him.

I growled this time angry at how John was behaving so kindly towards my mate. I would have killed him if he was not mated to my beloved sister but I would have started with torture first.
"Alpha, rogues have been spotted  near the border, what is your command ?" asked one of the pack guards, I should check it out.
"I'll be there" I said quickly, I looked towards my mate one more time and saw my mate take John's hands, all I saw was red after that.
I started to go to the opposite direction and saw a window were I jumped and shifted, landing on my paws roughly as my wolf howled in anger. If only these rogues knew what they were up against, I thought as I started to run towards the border, in thirst for blood.

When I was near the border I shifted back into my human form and saw one of the guards. I immediately took the boxers that was given by him and wore it.
"Alpha, they have been asking for you" Alex, the gamma said.
"Who?" I asked as I walked towards the border as I saw four rogues standing,  and my guards have surrounded them. I growled, letting everyone know of my presence.

"What made you so brave to come into my territory, rogue?" My wolf and I said in unison, our voice coming out angry and dominant.
"Alpha they are asking for a girl, a blind girl?" Alex said, confused.  Rogues wants mate, Ares wants  blood  My wolf said with anger, making me see blood. What do these filthy rogues want with my mate? I will kill anyone who wants to get near my mate.

I growled,  and within seconds my hands were tightly around his neck, as my eyes turned gold letting me know that my wolf surfaced. With no hesitation I snapped his neck, his body slamming into the ground, lifeless, I looked towards the remaining rogues, what I saw made me smile. Fear, it was present in the eyes as they put their necks out for me.

"Why do you ask for the blind girl?" I said calmly, trying hard not to shift and kill these bastards.
" She is wanted by Zion" he said, scared. The name sounds familiar, what does he want with my mate? I'll kill him if he ever steps into my territory.
"Lock them up, and question them." I said with a growl. What was going on, and why have I not find any information about my mate? What is she hiding from me?

I walked towards the pack house, I'll need to find out who my mate is.
"Alex find out if the blue moon pack has kept something important from us. I need it to be done before tonight" I mind linked him.
"Yes Alpha"  he immediately responded.
I needed to find out who this Zion was, and to do that I need to go to Sarah, she might help me on this one.

"keep an eye on her John." I said, angry that I won't be the one keeping her safe. I first need to know who is Zion is, and that's my first priority.
"Sure Alpha" John said, as he happily obliged.
A growl came from me at the thought of John being close to my mate, what's with my mood? I keep getting angry at the thought of my mate not being beside me.

The pack house was big, it was enormous but only I and my high ranks lived in the pack house, there were houses far back where the pack members lives. My pack is the largest in this state and I'm proud to say that this pack is mine to protect.
I walked inside the pack house, went into my room and got dressed. I should hurry, I started to  walked towards the exit quickly when I smelled it again, the most intoxicating scent, Lavender, my mate must be near.

I should not have done it but I did, I stopped and looked around only to see my mate smelling around as she walked quietly, counting while she walked. What is she doing? Mate my wolf said. She stopped and I knew that she had noticed my scent , she looked towards my direction and I was taken back. How can she be certain that I was standing there?
She started walking towards me and my wolf howled with happiness at the thought of her wanting to be near us.
 
When she pumped into my chest, she realized she was too close as she tried to take a step back. I grabbed her by the waist and pulled her closer to me and I put my face on her neck,  her scent was breathtaking, I growled when she started to resist, she immediately stopped, that made me smile against her neck.
"Alpha" John said breathlessly. Was he searching for her, haven't I told him to look after her?

"Why is my mate on her own?!!"  I said through the mind link angrily.
"I'm sorry Alpha, I haven't heard her going out of the room."  he said immediately, guilty of what he had done.
"No mistakes, take care of her." I growled at him and my mate jumped at my sudden change of mood. I took a step back and walked towards the exit. I needed to know who Zion was, and I needed to know now.
