"Boyfriend?" your mother said a look of disgust as she watched you and matsukawa embrace each other you nodded, sinking into matsukawa more sealing the deal. She cleared her throat painting a fake smile on her face.

"How lovely let's go inside (y/n) we can have some sweets, though you shouldn't have too many dear wouldn't want your figure to slip any more than it has" your mother jabbed at you, you felt a twig of pain in your heart before you felt matsukawa's warm breath fanning over the shell of your ear.

"You are beautiful,don't listen to her"he whispered in your ear making you smile

"Where's dad and hori?" you asked, following your mother inside matsukawa's hand rubbing up and down your back keeping you grounded.

"Your father is at work and your sister should be getting off school soon...i'll call yukio to go pick her up" your mom said leading you guys to the kitchen your furrowed your brows asking your mother

"You're home all day but yukio picks her up?" you asked making sure you heard her right. Granted she did the same thing to you while you were going to school but still it was so unnecessary.

"Well why would I get her if there is someone here to do it? I have lots of things to do around the house (y/n)" your mom said pulling out a tray of sweets and breads

"Excuse me if this is rude ma'am but don't you have someone here who cooks and cleans and your husband handles all the bills and such right?" Matsukawa chimed in popping a chocolate into his mouth staring down at your mother. You saw an irk mark appear on her forehead before she regained her composer

"I do, what is your point?" she said pouring herself a glass of wine at 1:45 in the afternoon

"Oh ok ok so what is it you do around the house then?" Matsukawa asked you had to bite back a laugh at your mom's face when she was genuinely trying to think of what it is she does all day. You shook your head sighing

"Well (y/n) and i will leave you to ponder that while we go pick up hori" matsukawa said, grabbing your hand and walking out of the kitchen to the front door.

"Oh don't spoil your dinners we will be dining with guests later on!" your mom shouted and you just ignored her walking out of the house still hand in hand with matsukawa he looked down at you as he led you to his car a sly smile etched on his handsome features

"So i'm your boyfriend?" he said opening the car door for you. You rolled your eyes getting in

"I said that to see my mother squirm, it was entertaining no?" you said giving him a dopey smile he just laughed closing the door and walking to the drivers side getting in

"So where does your sister go to school?" matsukawa said pulling out of your homes entrance

"Seijoh" you said resting back in your seat

"I went there" matsukawa said in a tone of shock as he drove to his former high school

"Yeah hori chose that school to spite my mom who was probing her to go to shiratorizawa like i did, hori is braver than i was. She isn't afraid to do the exact opposite of what my mom wants just to see her twitch. I wish i was like that when i was in highschool maybe i would've be a little happier" you said honestly watching the trees that flashed by the car, you felt matsukawa's hand come on to your knee giving it a squeeze smiling while he drove

"You did what you could, you were little you didn't know any better but now you are older and hori sees that her older sister was happier when she was doing what she wanted so that's probably what she is doing" matsukawa reasoned trying to make you feel better you turned to look at his side profile as he drove.

He was so unbelievably handsome. His features were soft and harsh at the same time, his brows where thick and bold but his eyes were so kind and inviting his presence oozed dominance and control but his laughed echoed freedom and ease, he was an enigma but every passing second you're with him your apprehensions you had about him when you first met moved so far in your mind you can't even remember he is yakuza, in moments like these he is just matsukawa issei a man who can make you laugh like no other, make you feel so free and so protected all in one.

"Oi take a picture if you like me so much" he said smirking you scoffed sinking back into your seat trying to play it off

"You wish matsukawa" you said

"Issei" he responded rubbing his thumb back and forth on your knee

"If i'm going to be used to cause your mom's grief call me issei" he said you nodded placing your hand in his much larger ones

"Okay issei"

He pulled through in the front of seijoh and you saw your sister standing on the curb on her phone not looking up, you rolled down your window shouting

"Hori! Your sister's neck snapped up looking for the source of the cry till her (e/c) eyes landed on your own she let out a big smile running into the car jumping into the backseat

"(y/n)" she said reaching around to hug your from behind your seat you closed your eyes smiling patting her hands

"Hey bug" you said, hori's attention snapped from you to matsukawa looking at him closely her eyes traveling to his bruised knuckles then, his messy brown locks and his silver nose ring and the small silver hoops that hung from his ears.

"I'm matsukawa issei, i'm (y/n)'s boyfriend" he said stretching a hand out for hori to take, she did with no hesitation laughing hard

"Did mom see him? Oh my god she is going to die if she hasn't already" hori said holding her stomach cackling you chuckled shaking your head

"Oh she met him alright and she was not happy at all" you said

"Ugh why is she like that? Go forbid you are happy with someone she didn't fucking hand pick for you" hori said you nodded in agreement

"Well judging by the way this is going i'm going to guess you girls don't want to go home right away right?" matsukawa said driving down the highway you both nodded and he just smiled missing the exit to your house. He reached over grabbing your hand and placing a soft kiss on your knuckles making your heart flutter.
